Perfect location inside the station building, complimentary public transport ticket for Berlin area, decent breakfast and comfortable room. Very competent staff at reception.

The location is excellent, accessible from within the Ostbhanhof station and 15 mins from Schonefeld airport by the airport express train. The station has a supermarket, cafes, bank, McDonald's etc steps away. The staff are really helpful and friendly and rooms clean. Perhaps the best feature of the hotel is the free public transport pass for the whole of Berlin (including surroundings and return airport transfer) your whole stay from the moment of check in (worth as much as 14euros per person!). This makes the location perfect as you can be anywhere in Berlin within 15 mins or so, Alexanderplatz is 3 mins on the train for example. The only issue we had was the exceptional record temperatures and lack of air conditioning, however a large fan (and free mineral water/fridge) is provided in the room and clearly the temperatures were unusually hot especially at night. A great value hotel for exploring amazing Berlin!

Very convenient that this hotel can be accessed directly from the mall above the Ostbahnhof. For an overnight stay, this was super convenient. The other outstanding feature was the free travel card valid for both days of the overnight stay. Staff were very helpful and I was also able to leave my case for a few hours. The decor is a little tired compared to some of the newer and trendier hotels in the area, but the room was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed for an overnight stay, including a safe, mini fridge and bottled water. Would recommend for a short stay.

The hotel provides you with free travel pass to use for duration of stay. Really handy and save you done money. I didn’t like I booked a Double room and was provided with a twin room. I initially called reception only to be told to push the bed together myself. I then headed to reception to be told I had been given a double room and he insisted I was in a Double room. I had to challenge them until the receptionist reluctantly changed my room for a double. The room was mediocre clean, the shower doors didn't close properly so water would get everywhere

The front desk has been incredibly nice and helpful and was very helpful in advice on what to do in the city. Hotel was very clean as well as the warmth welcome of receptionist .Especially the gentlemen ,a lady with eyeglass and also the Manager aThey are so brilliant and they are so calm and informative in how to handle some issues Though we didn't spend too much time in the hotel, other than sleeping but it left a great impression on us! Our sheets, towels has been provided when we told them so. Lately we just left our two luggage without any problem.The last but not the least ,their free travel card that was so very helpful and handy.The rest thank you so much for the lovely and memorable experience.I will tell to my family and relatives to choose the intercity hotel-ostbanholf.-M&Mdebil

Getting worse

Pros: location, free travel card, staff
Cons: put kettles back in the room, faster internet, and a consistent late checkout policy
Been staying here regularly for the last few years, standards are declining unfortunately.... Free Internet is now really slow, and even the paid for one is pretty bad and they've started charging for a kettle(!)

Great hotel

Great hotel in Berlin Germany for business. Fantastic price good room and cheap Minibar. All in all wonderful experience. Plus you get a free travel card for your stay. Just a great experience. Thank you

Great hotel, very handy location.

Room size is great for the price, staff are great and you get the added bonus of a free travel card to use in Berlin. Super easy to and from the Shonefeld also.
