The food in The Lion was first class, and the service from Elisha and Mark. However the room had a few problems 1 the hot water was scolding instantly and no mixer , if any child opens the hot tap they woild have 3rd degree burns. 2 the coffee machine had no water chamber ( missing ) 3 there was no bulb in the table lamp Room was clean just not maintained regular in my opinion , ive been in the trades for 40 years so all the jobs would take an hour After saying that i would still stay there again for sure

The town of Wendlebury is not the nicest place, but the room was comfortable. Service for dinner and upon checkin was a bit hit and miss to be honest. We couldn't get water with dinner. Had to wait forever to order. But the morning staff was nice and breakfast was okay.

Room was overall very good but let down by shower drain blocked with hair etc. Bed was comfortable but the underblanket was stained. Staff were friendly and helpful although the waiting staff in the dining room should have been more attentive. Details meant as constructive criticisms. Overall very good and we would stay again.

Went to Bicester shopping Centre and needed somewhere to stay 10 minutes drive in a lovely local village pub, amazing room, tv, coffee machine, bathroom, clean and pub food gorgeous definitely stay again even though 1 fault (might be just us) mattress too soft but you can’t go wrong Fantastic

We only had a brief one night stay on our way to Devon but enjoyed every minute of it - we ate in the restaurant and both loved our meals , both the venison and the mushroom pie were excellent , the only downside was that was so comfortable and quiet in our room that we slept in and didn’t have time for breakfast. Next time for sure

Check in was fast. The room allocated to me was easily accessible and very spacious. The plumbing system needs to be repaired. I found something floating in the wc when I first got into the room. Thought the housekeeping did not do a thorough job, but after I flushed the toilet, the floating objects kept reappearing. It was rather disgusting. The hotel has a pub and food was good, service was great too.
