We had looked for a hotel room and found the Tru by Hilton. The reviews looked good and the rating was 8.9 . Our experience found dirty room with under the mattresses nasty as well as a clogged bathroom drain. For a room with the Hilton name in it was seriously lacking. We were offered.a 2nd room and that one was.no better Would not recommend !

For $225 a night you should get more!
The hotel is new and clean, and service is friendly and helpful. The front desk was responsive. However, for $225 per night in Binghamton, NY (!! this isn't NYC, or LA, or Paris, or London, etc.) would it be unreasonable to expect rooms to have a dresser to store clothes, a closet (rather than just hooks on the wall), an ice machine on the floor (rather than having to go downstairs at night), and a room safe to store valuables? Clearly a lot of money has been put into a nice lobby and a decent breakfast and lots of witty signs and slogans up all over the place, but at the expense of some basic room comforts. Were this a $100/night budget hotel, I'd not complain about these omissions, but this is not a great value for the money.

I dont know what Hiltons idea was with these hotels. Maybe to get to younger people? Its so small..mthe room. And sparse. Minimal. No coffee...no cups even in bathroom. No ice...bed is so hard. So hars. Can hear the people around me walking and peeing and farting. The person checking me in was on her cellphone with someone didnt even greet me. Just ick. I dont get the concept here and I will be staying in comfortable and homey hotels. It wasnt inexpensive either. I love hotels and i dont love this one.

The room was huge and clean , will stay here again. Breakfast was not too appetizing. Had to get real breakfast as my kids would not eat at the hotel. I did not like the soap dispensers in the bathroom, trying to her ehe body soap from containers was not easy. Other than that very clean and that’s what I like

Nice hotel. Very clean room and property. I choose Tru because of the close proximity to Binghamton University as I was there for a college visit for my kid. Not many places to have dinner in the surrounding area except for a Denny’s. I was happy with my stay.
