Most things worked ok, TV etc, room and bathroom had a strong smell of smoke, old very basic bathroom, ill fitting bathroom door with loose hinges, both windows didn't fit properly so noisy as location is next to New Street Station (good location if you need to be there). Bed mattress was very soft.

Good location near to station, and quieter than I anticipated. Staff were friendly. Room was okay, thought the paintwork around the windows was in need of repair. Bed was not that comfortable, but just about passable. Shower and bathroom clean and functional. Not worth the price charged, but if you have an early start from station then okay for a night.

Ideal place if needing to be near Birmingham New Street station.Room was very clean and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Hotel does look a little in places but would still overnight here again as good value for money.

good value basic hotel, next to New St station

Pros: very close to new Street station so ideal! staff friendly
Cons: It could do with a general freshen up.
Location: very central location, just round the corner form new st station. lots of the main attractions and shops close by.
Basic hotel facilities, room was quite satisfactory and provided excellent value for money. Room was spacious, bathroom a good size and bed was comfortable. the heating and room temperature was good, very quiet despite the central location. (I did ask for a quiet room and they gave me an inside facing room, so it was peaceful.) The staff are friendly and helpful. a lift is available, hot water plentiful. Bed linen was clean and so were towels. It provides great value for money. It could do with a paint and freshen up but nothing major. Overall is was ok for a stop over.

Nice, clean and Quiet Hotel

Although the Comfort won’t knock your socks off when you arrive, the old fasioned lift will entertain you. I had an excellent nights sleep in the very central location next to New Street station and will happily stay there again in the clean and pleasant room.

Budget hotel

Hotel is very central, however don’t pay more than £50 per night. It’s an old old building in an area recently regenerated. Squeaky floor boards, shower head that hangs off the holder and random previous guest hairs in shower and floor. Got what I paid for (£47 on ebookers discount) but have seen some silly prices asked for. How it remains a member of the chain it’s in is for the hotel to justify.
