We stayed in what is described on this site as an “annex” room, which is actually a beautifully renovated room in the old coach house next to the on site cottage.
The decor in the room was stunning, from the high ceilings to the stone flooring and the small details and finishing touches in between.
The cosy cushions, welcome cookies fresh from the bakery and the luxury sustainably sourced toiletries just add to the wow factor.
From the moment we drove onto the property every single member of staff we came across were engaging, polite and courteous.
I’ve honestly never stayed anywhere where quite literally every single team member seems to be enjoying their work! Check-in was a breeze and we were given a lovely tour of the downstairs areas and although the manor was holding a private function we were told that we were welcome to enjoy the facilities for as long as we wished to the following day.
The following morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the library and were met again with happy, chatty and cheerful faces who were more than knowledgeable on the surrounding area, gardens and land.
Our stay was an absolute pleasure and I would highly recommend Hampton Manor.

Fantastic old house interestingly complimented inside with modern furniture and artworks. Rooms were delightful, although a few bits needed a slight update or a lick of paint. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bar lacked a bit of atmosphere and their cocktails came pre-mixed. Wine list could be better. Fantastic restaurants, both down in the walled garden. Walled garden was great, but the rest of the garden could be so much better...
The two restaurants at this hotel are outstanding!
