It seems like renovations are being done, but VERY dated and not good condition. The staff were great, water pressure was strong. The bed and pillows were comfortable and clean. There were 2 parts of thrle metal bed frame sticking out and I cut mu leg.

This hotel is the worst. They say they offer breakfast & do not. Housekeeping did not enter the room- no clean towels & had to go to the front desk to get them. On our last night we were told “go straight to your room & don’t go in the 3rd floor.” Trying to address this with the hotel was useless so we turned to Expedia. They dodged Expedia as well. Found out after it was a swingers party on the third floor. Absolutely awful. DO NOT STAY HERE

This is a “get what you pay for” hotel. The elevators sometimes didn’t work. The staff doesn’t really give a crap. The breakfast was sketchy. But oh well

Misleading description on Expedia, this hotel has rooms barely refreshed, with non working equipment, found bed bugs the first night and had to be moved to another room, advertised that breakfast was included, but no breakfast was available during our stay, front desk staff was no help in resolving issues, in summary it was disgraceful, would never go back there. I was traveling with other friends from Europe who shared the same bad experience with their room. We asked for refund or discount at checkout, and were told manager would get in touch, but doubt it will happen, hoping Expedia will step in to make it right.

the property is nice and in a great location. it is out of the way, but close to everything when you go out. The shower was nice the water gets and stays hot. The bed and pillows was comfortable. The air conditioner was super cold had to turn it off. I used the small weight room but the treadmill worked fine and the room was clean. I didn't use the pool are but it appeared to be clean. I would stay hear again.

Budget stay, satisfactory condition
The price is right. The amenities and services are pretty underwhelming, but the beds are comfortable, and the A/C can turn the room into an icebox if you want it. I got what I payed for and expected. When I was there, the elevator certification had lapsed, and it seemed like it was in questionable condition, as a heads up. My room also had a broken bathroom fan.

damaged...
I showed up only to find out they couldn't find my reservation apparently a conformation number was needed instead of a transaction number which is the only number that was provided by hotels.com. When I did get a room they charged my card 3 different times and still to this day it hasn't been credited! I had to change rooms 2 times because the door was warpped and wouldn't shut, the tv was broken and wouldnt' work, there was mold in the room.

This was the worse experience! First room 2 sets of keys still wouldn't open, second room no air conditioning (safety Hazard) 3rd room ice machine broke and of course all on different floor, took over an hour! Not one apology, Morning staff and breakfast not one person spoke English. Does not have buffet. They bring you a plate and the food was cold and all mixed on plate! YUK! Would NOT recommend this place horrible experience!

Clearly the photos used for promotions are not this hotel. Very out-dated. You can smell stale cigarette smoke walking down the halls, despite “no smoking” signs on every door. We had to walk to the front desk to get an extra towel. Phone in room didn’t work AT ALL. Signs in the parking lot say “Park at your own risk.” Bathroom: towel rack falling off the wall, exhaust fan doesn’t work, and shower head mounted at about 48 inches height (I’m 6’ 4”). Only entrance/exit of the hotel not labeled as “Emergency Only” was the main entrance. This may have been a “nice hotel” in about 1990, but not this century. Only nice thing I can say is that room was clean.

Property was old and needed repairs and updates. Staff was not knowledgeable, except for the security guy who seemed to be the only one who knew what to do. No ice in the whole facility. Breakfast was supposed to be at 6:30 but nothing was ready by 6:45 so we had to skip it and eat on the road. Do not recommend at all. If you're staying in the Birmingham area, choose another hotel.
