Cabin vibes with acreage just minutes from shopping and dining? Welcome to the lucky duck!

On occasion we rent out our special place with animals on all four sides that you don’t have to feed :-) because they are owned by the adjacent farmers!

We are just a few blocks from Clark’s market, easy access to Bears Ears, canyon lands and natural bridges. Our renovated, large two bedroom, 1.5 bath cabin sits on several acres and enjoys sunrise and sunsets you don’t get anywhere but in the high desert. Plus, much of the year you have your very own duck 🦆 show in the back yard via the naturally fed duck pond!

Enjoy two king suites filled with original art by Jesse Link, washer and dryer, front and back decks make this a perfect spot for a professional working in the area, for two couples, a solo adventurer or small family who wants to be close to the best national parks in the USA but not interested in the craziness of Moab.

Fully functional AC and heat via brand new mini split systems in each bedroom and living area.

You can hike right from the house down into Montezuma Canyon and up to the recapture reservoir. It’s our little Shangri-La and we know you’ll feel like it’s yours too.

Guests will be able to reach us if they need us but we won’t be in the area most of the time. We do have excellent teammates in town if you need assistance with anything.

You can also hit capitol reef, bluff and Moab with a quick drive.

The house is yours 100%. We stay here a few weeks a year when we aren’t traveling for work, and we’ve been professional hosts since the 90’s so hopefully we’ve got everything you need to have a super good time.

This is NOT a party house. It’s a basecamp for adventure (Blanding’s motto) for us and we appreciate everyone who stays here focusing on two things.

1. Be respectful and kind to our neighbors.

2. Be good stewards of the surrounding land. The mountains and desert surrounding our “Lucky Duck” is super special to us and the locals. Let’s make sure we keep it pristine while enjoying the beauty.

We love this area because it’s even more central than Moab when it comes to epic adventures in SE Utah. If you know the area, you know Blanding is actually the best jump off point for the best fun around!

Please don’t wear shoes in our home at any time. We’ve taken special care to decorate the house with cool stuff from far and away during our travels.

Keeping the dirt out of the house is key and since we are from Hawaii it’s a cultural thing to not wear shoes in the house.
