Everything was incredible - staff, location, facilities, food, vibe, and most importantly, the dog, Katur! We are so hopeful to return and stay for longer.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The hotel had cute rooms with lofts where there was a twin bed. The property had been renovated and felt quite new and updated. The shower was large and comfortable. Plenty of plugs for charging. Our biggest issue was the midges. The hotel is near water, and if there’s no breeze the property is covered with biting midges in the summer. We had all of our doors and windows closed, and we still had them in the room with us. We left literally covered from head to toe with midge bites, which took 3 days to stop itching. There was not enough information given, warning about what the bugs do, or preventative measures taken by the hotel to ensure our room was midge free. The recommendation was “keep doors and windows shut,” which we did. So the midges must have gotten in when other people were entering and exiting. I hope the hotel invests in some fans for every room to help summer guests not have to suffer this fate.
Away from the crowds of the main tourist spots. A lovely little hotel near some quieter waterfalls and other regional attractions.
Staff were great, friendly and helpful.
The gentleman that greeted us was very welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant was great. This is a charming family -run guesthouse that is well worth going out of your way to experience.
Very nice family run business overlooking the Reykhold valley and river. Good choice for a stopping point after a day trip from Reykjavik and Snaefellsnes peninsula. Be careful . GPS with Google will take you down a gravel road instead of the main highway to get there.
Great location and facility! We loved how serene and peaceful the location is. My niece loved hanging out with the dog on site - he was a happy pup and loved playing.
Fantastic experience!! Very small and quaint. Hotel “staff” aka Adam was knowledgable and accommodating. The food here was amazing. Fresh and homemade. The rooms are clean and appear to be newly renovated. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel.
wonderful service and an exceptional stay. food was really good too

Disliked: Amenities
Thought dinner was available but not so. Description was there was a nice bar, not so.. could get a beer but not really a bar. Very minimalist. Quiet and comfy , but not as described.
The lake view was beautiful. We had a loft room for our family of 5 and it worked out fine for us. Easy to find, easy to park. Good breakfast in the morning. Friendly family that runs it.
