The room was small and cramped, nothing worked because the Ipad controlled all functions. I had to crawl over my wife to get in and out of bed. It was too much money to pay for the room with no amenities.

Amazing hotel and it felt very European. The views were amazing as well as the lobby and staff. I highly recommend this hotel and it’s within walking distance to most places although the entrance to the T was closed when I was there but amazing nonetheless!

A night at the CitizenM
The check in process is completely self service but there is one or two check in staff to assist. The guest will also self program their room keys. The rooms at the CitizenM are long and narrow. Actually, the rooms are exactly the width of the bed from head to toe. There are no tables and only one chair under a low shallow shelf on the wall. There’s no bench to put a suitcase on so two people wanting to change clothes will have to do it one at a time. The bathroom/shower is literally a glass booth about six feet long and three feet deep. Everything in the room, blinds, lights, tv are controlled with a tablet in the room which can be very intimidating to those who rarely use technology. I don’t recall seeing any of this disclosed in the hotels.com listing. This was an eye opening experience

Tiny hotel room with great location in Back Bay
Con: Room is tiny. Bed is against the wall, so anyone taller than 6’3” wouldn’t be able to fit. Bathroom is a shower with the door open in front of the toilet. Tight space. Sink is outside the bathroom in the walkway. Pro: The location of the hotel is great. Access to subway across the street and plenty of restaurants around.

This was such a nice hotel! Extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. Check-in and check-out is super easy and staff is around to help with any questions. Will definitely be staying at another one of their hotels again!

A very new hotel but not to be underestimated. Location within back bay is excellent. Rooms are slightly on the small side and if you can overlook the slightly odd room arrangement- this is a fun hotel full of quirks as would be expected from citizen M.
