This is not a hotel. It’s a hostel. I booked a room and it was a tiny room with four beds. I did not see this listed anywhere on my reservation. False advertising

Pleasant surprise
The hotel was a pleasant surprise, we weren’t expecting much and it exceeded all expectations. The room was. Lean and functional, the older building had some character and charm and the lady working the front desk was lovely and went out of her way to be helpful. Would stay again!

The rooms did not match the advertised descriptions, and when I attempted to cancel for a refund by speaking with an agent before my arrival, the manager intentionally switched my reservation to a poor-quality room. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I travel to Boston often for work and was excited to see that there was a Found property in the mix. My excitement was quickly abated by several factors. The block on which the hotel is located is, kindly put, somewhat questionable. They are located directly next to some sort of industrial depot where massive amounts of garbage is out out each evening and collected in the wee hours of the morning. How does this affect the hotel patrons, you ask? Well, I was put in a room tantamount to a closet on the 5th floor. After riding up those five flights in a very scary elevator dating from the 1970s, I realized that the AC unit only worked occasionally. As such, I opted to open the window for some cross breeze. I realized that the trash collection was a huge problem bright and early the next day. I inquired about moving rooms, and was told all that they had to offer was on the 1st floor, on the other side right next to a construction sight. So, clearly, noisiness is an issue writ large. I would also note that my concerns were universally dismissed by the staff. Apathy seemed to be the cornerstone of their communications style. The coup de gras was when the boiler in the building broke and there was no hot water. Despite inquiring various mechanisms, I was not offered any recompense. This "hotel" is more of a hostel with light rouge. I would not recommend it and suggest looking elsewhere.

Nice hotel, but lacking a few amenities
First, the positives: the personnel was friendly and helpful, the location is great, the beds were comfortable (two queen size beds), and the room spacious. The negatives: the hotel is in an old building, as the lobby is small and there is no area to sit there, so you have to go in the basement if you have to wait. The elevator is old and noisy, and after a long day of walking around Boston, we would have appreciated to be able to sit in a comfortable chair in the room, and enjoy a glass of wine in real glasses, not plastic ones.

Actually saw a mouse in our room, very noisy old building needs maintenance, no hot water for showers, no fridge, coffee or microwave available, beds soft, heat didn’t work, rooms cold, no extra blankets, no comfortable chairs, no compensation for anything! Just because you can change a high price doesn’t mean you should take advantage of your customers!

Awful this place left me stranded
They did not honor the price given and my reservation was canceled for non payment. Even though the website said to pay upon arrival. My stay was $188 for two nights and he tried to rent me a room for $420 a night. Stating I didn’t have a reservation and hotels.com was not a real site. Left me stranded being a solo travelor. I had to sleep in my car.

Very basic accommodations but the location is key. I was able to walk to most of the sites I wanted to visit. The front desk staff was friendly and willing to help. Dillon provided recommendations for places to eat.
