This was a behaved older building, which I loved. However, I think there could have been a little more effort put into the cleanliness and amenities. The tile flooring was a little sticky and the room was oddly furnished. Very loud banging at 11pm which sounded like it was coming from within the walls. It was conveniently located right off of Essex and right there in walking distance from all the shops and main attractions. The parking situation was annoying considering you still had to pay to park, and walk to your hotel. The room price should also include a parking pass, but that was not the case. The staff were exceptional and very kind.

Feels slightly unsafe when the homeless people across the street had access to the lobby and restroom areas, regardless of the “no public restroom” signage. You don’t need a room key to get to the floors so anyone could easily get to your room. Just didn’t sit right with me.

Everything was great. The only complaint I had was the very very old hairdryer. It looks like a lot of people had handled it to the point that the paint was coming off. But otherwise, everybody was so wonderful and our time there was great!

The sliding barn doors for the toilet were less than ideal. It didn't create a lot of privacy. However, the location more than made up for any inconvenience. We loved the location right in the middle of all the activities. We also really liked the water availability with the bottle filling station on our floor. It was a very easy and free way to stock up every night and put it in our refridgerator so we had easy access all day the next day.

Right in the heart of it all! The room was great and so spacious! The front desk so kind and accommodating! The only downfall is no parking around the hotel. But they are very upfront about that and the 3 garage options they give are fairly priced and not far. You can park and not need the car until departure! We walked to everything we wanted to do very easily!

Can’t beat the location! Room was clean. We had a view of an alley and brick wall but we weren’t in our room much. Staff overall very nice and helpful except the night we checked in the person wasn’t the friendliest. The water stations on each floor were great to refill water bottles. Separate bathroom from the shower area didn’t offer much privacy. Overall quiet at night, beds were comfortable. Off site parking but they did call the night before to give us suggestions for places to park (3 minute walk).
