MUSKOKA'S BEST KEPT SECRET - SKELETON LAKE

Nous sommes heureux d'offrir notre tout nouveau chalet de deux chambres sur le populaire lac Skeleton. Connu comme le secret le mieux gardé de Muskoka, le lac Skeleton est surtout connu pour ses eaux cristallines, ses criques de baignade sablonneuses, sa grande pêche, ses sports nautiques, sa randonnée et ses magnifiques couchers de soleil d'été. Notre chalet confortable est situé au bout d'une baie calme et offre une vue magnifique sur les îles. Avec une sensation similaire à notre populaire hangar à bateaux du lac Skeleton (VRBO 470888) qui est de l'autre côté de la baie, notre chalet confortable de deux chambres de 650 pieds carrés est décoré confortablement et dispose d'un porche latéral couvert supplémentaire de 200 pieds carrés. Notre salon a une télévision par satellite à écran plat, wifi, un canapé-lit et notre cuisine propose des appareils améliorés, y compris un réfrigérateur. plaque de cuisson micro-ondes et lave-vaisselle. Quatre kayaks, un canot et deux planches à pagaie se trouvent sur la rive sablonneuse où vous pouvez nager ou pagayer jusqu'au quai flottant. Ce chalet est situé à environ 20-25 minutes de Rosseau ou Huntsville où vous pourrez dîner et explorer tous les magasins pittoresques et les marchés d'été. Veuillez noter que les locations saisonnières au printemps et à l'automne sont un minimum de 3 nuits. La haute saison, qui est la dernière semaine de juin jusqu'au week-end de la fête du Travail, est une période de location minimale d'une semaine. Le gîte est aménagé pour accueillir deux couples ou une petite famille de 2 enfants. Des frais supplémentaires s'appliqueront pour les personnes supplémentaires à 75 $. 00 par personne et par nuit pour un maximum de 6 personnes.
Lors de votre séjour dans ce cottage, vous ne serez qu'à quelques minutes à pied de Nutt Lake. Ce cottage propose une cuisine et un patio.

we really enjoyed the cottage and the lakefront property. it had everything we needed and came as advertised. Lorie and Steve were great to deal with and very helpful. we do recommend a 4 wheel drive suv to get up and down (we did have one) to the cottage.

1st week of summer
They have everything you need on site which we really appreciated. Satellite tv, fire wood, bbq with extra tank, towels, paddle boards, canoe and kayaks all available at no extra cost. Lots to do for the kids so that they dont get bored. It is exactly as advertised. Very clean and comfy cottage for 2 adults, 2 kids, and a dog. Owners and property manager were very very nice. Thank you!

Amazing Views and Beautiful Cottage
The cozy cottage exceeded all our expectations, it was beautiful, clean and the perfect retreat for our little family getaway to see the fall colours. The lake views were amazing. Lots of great outdoor spots to sit and enjoy nature, have a bon fire or enjoy a canoe ride on the lake. Inside was cozy, modern and well cared for.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage with high-end furnishings. Fantastic deck overlooking beautiful, clear Skeleton Lake. Covered outdoor eating area was very convenient on a rainy day. Cottage is part of a large family compound with friendly hosts.

Slice of paradise!
We had a wonderful stay at The Blue Heron Cottage. The beach front was beyond perfect for our 3 year old and 10 mo old who enjoyed the shallow, sandy beach front (not weedy at all) and easy swim to floating dock. Lots of activity options! The indoor living space is small and cozy. On Rainy days we spent our time under the outdoor sitting area, which had plenty of coverage. End of August had minimal mosquitos, the water was still warm for swimming, mornings and evenings were chilly but the cottage is warm and the outdoor fire pit was always going :) Beds and living space are comfortable, internet worked well, Note - No oven but stovetop and all other kitchen needs are there. The cottage is located in a super private area, across from crown land. We really felt like we had our own space. We will definitely be booking again! Can't wait to come back! Thank you so much for an awesome stay :)

Stunning Cozy Getaway
Enjoyed the week with my wife along with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. For the size of the cottage, the space was well utilized and the covered porch was outstanding. Property was beautiful, beach and water were great and lots of paddle boards, kayaks, canoe's and paddle boat for our use. Our other daughter and her family visited from the south west side of the lake. Steve and Jill visited one day and had a great chat. Definitely a strong consideration for a future visit but much suited for a couple of family of 4 but we made it work. Thanks for everything Lorrie

Excellent property, location and communication.
We had a terrific time at Steve and Jill's cottage. The location was idyllic and the cottage was cozy, clean and perfect for our family. We enjoyed use of the kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, and BBQ. Lorrie was an excellent communicator. Great proximity to both Huntsville and Rosseau. We so enjoyed an impromptu horn and flute recital on the next dock on a Monday morning in our little bay. What a delightful surprise!

Nice guest cabin right on the water of a quiet bay with nice water and beach for swimming. Cabin is best for 4 people or less. Road in is fairly short but pretty rugged.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at the Blue Heron Cottage. It had gorgeous views, was super clean and peaceful. The water at Skeleton Lake is the best in Muskoka, so clear! The property manager was also a dream to deal with. We are definitely booking another stay. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Beautiful Cozy Getaway!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. Quiet, clear lake was beautiful to sit by. The cabin was very pretty and the deck outside was stunning. We ate dinner each night under the covered porch. Our dog loved the beach/sand entry into the water as well. Our gracious hosts/owners allowed us to use the next door dock since it wasn’t occupied. Lorrie was very attentive upon our arrival and responded quickly to a few questions asked. We saw so many woodpeckers and various birds, even a hummingbird! Very much looking to return! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Incredible location and such a beautiful clear lake for swimming and paddling of all sorts.
This is a beautiful spot to stay and would be a great couple’s get away in the fall. We went with another couple in the summer and the outside spaces, the covered (not screened) porch was where we ate, read, played cards and lived as well as the wrap around deck overlooking the lake was spectacular! The beds were new and comfortable and a beautiful bathroom and cute kitchen. Inside seating area would be small for 4 adults if it was rainy or cold, but the cottage is beautiful and well stocked. We had an amazing time there and will definitely be back. THe owners were close by and so friendly - there were kayaks and canoes and paddle boards. The bay is quite secluded and the night skies, awesome.

We stayed at this cottage for a week. It is very new, high end and wonderfully appointed. Everything you could ask for. Skeleton Lake is a very clean, clear lake. This property has a great walk out sandy beach and is on a quiet bay. Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience overall. As this is a guest house of a larger cottage, the privacy was affected by the proximity to larger cottage but the set up was very well done and the waterfronts were separate and beautiful. Overall an incredible experience. Our family loved it and highly recommends.

We had a great time at this fantastic little spot on Skeleton Lake. Weather was not very cooperative but the rental itself was exactly as promised - clean, fully stocked and secluded. Highly recommend and we hope to return.

Weekend getaway on skeleton lake
We loved our stay, especially the fire pit and dock. It's located on its own peaceful alcove of the lake with a neighboring cottage on one side. Throughout the day we enjoyed sunbathing on, and swimming around, the big dock (the water was very clean). There's also a private beach where you can swim or take the cayaks/canoes into the water. At night, we would watch the sunset from the dock which was magical and then navigate to the fire pit and stargaze. The cottage itself was recently renovated and has a charming decor with a rustic feel - not to mention it was equipped with everything you could possibly need (fresh linens, kitchen appliances, a big screen tv, etc.). The owners also built an expansive covered deck surrounding the cottage where we would eat lunch and dinner. We can't say enough good things about our stay and how friendly and accommodating the owner and manager were; we are definitely excited to return! A recommended spot for romantic getaways for couples or young families. The only thing to note is that the driveway was very steep and had loose gravel over it, so when arriving park at the top of the drive or even a bit before the drive where they have cleared a spot.
