Our first night in MT was absolutely amazing. Love ❤️ the ambiance in this hotel. Sets you back to a different time. We were greeted with lavender towels and glass champagne 🥂 at check in. Ladies at the front desk couldnt have been more helpful. Gave me lots of info about surrounding area, made reservations for us at the restaurant. By the way was absolutely 👌 AWESOME. We had prime rib and i had jerked cajum steak w/shrimp and pasta. Joseph was our waitor. He was the best! Would we stay again..HELL YES! Thank you for our wonderful first stay in MT. I always say..its great people that makes for great experiences...and thank you guys! Dont forget to sign their welcome book.

This is historic hotel was delightful. Old charm and elegance abounds! Loved the welcome glass of champagne and lavender towel. The Pompey Grill restaurant is equally top notch fine dining.

This was a gem on our trip from Yellowstone to Glacier National Park. The room was so comfortable with very nice linens. There are excellent restaurants on site and we couldn’t decide whether to eat at the main restaurant upstairs or the one downstairs but the restaurant bar upstairs serves the menu for both. This is a historic hotel and probably not best for families but excellent for couples and I would describe old fashioned upscale place to stay.

Maybe the good staff was on vacation. My stay was awful. No air conditioning. Staff shrugged their shoulders and said no engineers on duty overnight. I was on the first floor and had to try to sleep with the windows open, obviously not safe. Also, don’t stay on the first floor because the thin walls of this historic building mean you will hear every word spoken by people outside your window. They weren’t so “family friendly” during my stay. There were long dark hairs all over the bathroom. Yuck. Clerk at the front desk didn’t ask me how my stay was as I checked out, so I figure they really don’t care. The restaurant is the kicker. Apparently it has good food, if you can get served. I waited 35 minutes. 4 other parties came in after me, had their orders taken and had appetizers delivered. They were all clearly locals. I guess the message is that the hotel restaurant and bar are for locals and, ironically, not the hotel guests. Shoulder shrug from the staff. Again. I asked to open a case with Expedia. I don’t the hotel management gives a damn about much. It’s pretending to be a 4 star hotel with Gilchrist & Soames products. I liked that and all of the perfumes and sprays. If you’re sensitive to scents, stay away. Also, it’s not accessible as far as I could see. There a brick staircase with no visible ramp. I guess they also don’t want guests with any sort of mobility issues. Again, maybe I was there on a particularly bad week, but I can’t recommend this mess.
