Holiday in the beautiful Harz: individual 2-room apartment at 600 m!

Our 43 sqm 2 room apartment with a small balcony at about 600 m altitude is ideal for 2-3 people, but offers space and sleeping for 4 people and is a wonderful base for excursions and walks in the surrounding area.
We offer 1 double bed 1,40 x 2,00 m in the small separate bedroom and a high quality sofa bed to unfold with a separate mattress (1.40 x 2.00) in the living room. Internet via Wi-Fi (can be switched off!) is free. Next we have a relatively spacious kitchen with stove, oven, fridge and dishwasher and of course coffee maker, toaster and kettle, and a bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and hair dryer - still in the charm of the 80s, but with a new, electronically controlled water heater and new mixer taps. The apartment has 2017 got a new real oak wood parquet floor. Kitchen and bathroom are tiled. The furniture in the living room and bedroom are also real wood. Entertainment is provided by a large Sharp LED TV with radio function (but no internet) and a small stereo system with radio, CD player and USB input. In the warm season there is a glass table and 4 chairs on the balcony, in winter there is a metal table and 2 sleds. The use of the sleds is at your own risk!
In the adjoining house (20 m diagonally opposite) a coin-operated washing machine is available.
The keys and final cleaning (inclusive) is done by our friendly Wohnungsbetreuerin from the neighborhood. Towels, sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases please bring! We only can supply the pillows and the quilts. A highchair is available. Immediately opposite the entrance there is a covered parking for our tenants (No. 18).
The ski center Hohegeiß and various toboggan runs (with lift) are a few minutes walk from our apartment. There are also various cross-country ski trails all around. In spring, summer and autumn, many hiking trails and beautiful landscapes invite to hiking and walking. In addition, many sights and interesting towns and villages are within 30-45 min. to reach by car. For example, the Bodetalsperre with the highest concrete dam in Germany and the new suspension bridge. With the spa card you can also go for free from Hohegeiß to Braunlage! Among other things, our guests appreciate the indoor pool with outdoor pool. The Wurmberg as the second highest mountain in the Harz is of course also mandatory!
The former border to the former GDR is only a few hundred meters from our apartment. A small museum (Old Parish) is just around the corner.
Even a whiskey distillery, we have only a few miles.
Incidentally, the apartment is pleasantly cool in summer due to the hillside location, for winter there are enough radiators of central heating.

The obligatory tourist tax is currently € 1.20 for adults and € 0.60 for children from 6-17. The second and further children are free. In the period from 01. November to 20. December, the guest contribution is reduced by 50%. The Kurkarten with bonus booklet you receive from us in advance, so that you have no running therefore, and the advantages may possibly use immediately (since we receive the invoice from the Kurverwaltung, we ask for reimbursement to our account after receipt of the Kurkarten). Further costs do not apply - final cleaning, electricity, water, heating and internet are included. Payments are made (except for the tourist tax) exclusively from vacation-direct / homeaway.
