We arrived at the hotel and followed the sign to the parking, we were told where to park but not how to use the elevator without the keycard as we were not checked in. this meant a family of 6 with two toddlers had to walk through the rabbit warren of stairs up and down with all our luggage out on the street to the main reception. The car park is horrendously small and is only good for small cars (not a Kia Carnival like we had).
Next the reception was filled with scissor lifts and uncomfortable lighting (we were not aware that the hotel reception was under renovation).
We got to the room, the floors were dirty and i found a shard of glass. the showers were moldy and one bathroom had a smell.
The washing machine flooded and was corrected immediately when reception notified, i informed them of the glass on the floor and they said someone would be around to vacuum but this didn't happen.
On the Friday evening their was a party in a neighboring room with lots of screaming.
I have stayed at the meriton chain in other states and this was a complete let down.
