The room smelled really bad. Although it is a no smoking Motel, the room had a very strong cigarette and wet dog smell.

Clean carpet, I could walk in my socks on the carpet and my socks stayed clean. Thank you. No perfume to cover up dirty odors was appreciated. The short, child sized toilet was interesting. Nice shower area with a special shower head. No sound in the walls of flushing toilets or showers during my sleep at night. Very good!

Just a run down facility. Shower curtain rod ready to fall off the wall. Light switches on wall lamp by bed worked poorly. Mold in bathroom.

Overall our stay was very pleasant. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and helpful with local information. The room had plenty of room, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The reason we didn't rate it Excellent is due to being on the bottom floor, we woke up to the people directly above us walking continuously, which I am sure was due to the age of the hotel, we heard every step they took and/or anything they dropped rolled across the floor. In fact it was loud enough that it woke my husband up and he had forgotten we were in a motel and woke me up because he thought there was a family of raccoons or rats in the attic. Not sure anything can be done about it, but maybe we will request the top floor next time.

This was just a 1 night stopover for myself & husband, so i didn't put the usual extreme research into this prior to booking. Noise was from abfamily of "elephants" upstairs, not from the highway. The property is deep and rooms are away from traffic noise for the most part. It was a bit aggrevating that the very few guests that were there had been assigned rooms all together, beginning at the far end of the building; unnecesssary to put a family directly overhead...they could have been move down the building a bit. The room was adequately clean. Carpet, towels, linens are all in need of replacement. Most of the musty odor will go away with a carpet change. Windows were open to attempt to air out, but the room needs more than just that. Mostly adequate lighting in room & bath, one wall lamp did not work; outlet wires are stretched out with age and will not hold a heavier phone charger. Coffee maker, but no makings whatsoever. Upon checkout, the hostess was out of the office "for 15 minutes". It was longer than that, because we went back to attempt to retrieve our ice pack out of the freezer--oh well, lost the ice pack. We feel that we overpaid for the stay. Will not revisit...should have stayed in Crescent City or continued up to Branon.

we enjoyed our stay. very good view of sunset over the ocean from the window of our room. no road noise but the noise from the room above was a slight problem. it was very nice to have a small table and TWO chairs.

Easy to find and convenient location
Very convenient location right of the main street. {101} Easy to find with their big sign. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. A group of us friends stayed there for the Blues fest.

The view is nice. The location is great. It is clean. Everything worked. The check in staff was great! Good coffee, soaps, lotions, shampoos. The office and room have an old smell but you get over it. The towels are old, gray and need to be replaced. The bedding is also getting to replacement time. All in all, it is a fine base for exploring the area
