Communal areas better than bedrooms (ours was 115). Clean, comfy bed/plenty of hot water but awkward, tiny shower. Lovely canal view, nice breakfast and nice staff. Well placed for visiting all the recommended places but far enough away to be peaceful/quiet.

Great location and lovely little hotel

We got lucky in choosing this hotel blindly (possibly based on some reviews) - the location was Amazing! It was a short stroll from the main market square and easily accessible from all major points of interest. At the same time, it was set away enough to not be noisy and overtly busy. The setting as lovely, right next to the canal with decent restaurant options just across and a stone's throw away. The staff was very friendly and helpful - proper service with a smile. The breakfast was adequate. Overall, a great little hotel in a a great little city!

60th Birthday treat

The hotel was quite adequate for our needs and generally value for money. Minor issue with one or two cobwebs in the room and the pillows were lumpy. The breakfast was great and a good range of food on offer. Very happy with the staff who were very helpful when my wife was ill for two days. Location was very pleasant by the canal with good local shops. 5 min walk to the centre of Bruges.

Good base for exploring

Generally a positive experience. Disappointing that the shower only had saloon type doors and that there were no tea/coffee facilities in room.

Great for short breaks

Shower and toilet door not very private. Two broken window panes boarded with mdf. The mattress on the bed was too soft and two people would sink in themiddle.the breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect.

Ainutlaatuista: näkymä suoraan kanaalille omasta huoneesta. Yhtenä aamuna verhojen avaamisen jälkeen ohi uiskenteli joutsenpari. Näppärää: kaunis vanha kaupunki heti oven takana ja kaikki kävelyetäisyydellä. Aamiainen oli hyvä ja monipuolinen. Epämiellyttävää: Huoneeseen johtavalla käytävällä oli kevyt remontti kesken. Huoneen lämpöpatteri nakutti yhtenä yönä kolmisen tuntia, joskin on todettava, että talonmies onnistui tekemään sille seuraavana päivänä jotain ja ääni pieneni lähes olemattomiin seuraavana yönä. Vain aamulla klo 8 oli vajaan kymmenen minuutin nakutus (josta tietty ilmoitin). Arvostan sitä, että energiakriisiaikana huonelämpö pidetään 19 asteessa, mutta WC:ssä ei ollut mitään lämmitystä, joten lattia oli todella viileä, samoin kuin ilma. WC:n liiketunnistukseen perustuva valo katkaisi valaistuksen poikkeuksetta kesken toimituksen. Henkilökunnan ystävällisyys oli pinnallista laatua - tuli verrattua ystävän Bruggen-hotelliin, jota pyörittivät omistajat.

Hotel très bien situé au coeur de la ville

Séduite par la vue sur les canaux, je l'ai été beaucoup moins par l'état des chambres. Moquette sale ,la chambre non nettoyée le premier jour, les poubelles non vidées. La douche est minuscule comment font les gens un peu forts?, la tête est obligatoirement mouillée car la douche est fixe. Point positif 'la literie est excellente. Et le petit déjeuner copieux.

leuke dagen

Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij mochten onze bagage vast achterlaten 's morgens. Ontbijt is niet heel uitgebreid maar wel vers en smakelijk. Ons bed bleek niet goed in elkaar te zitten waardoor we eerst een kleine ingreep moesten plegen alvorens de bed bodem bleef liggen maar daarna heel goed geslapen. Douche/toilet was in ieder geval bij ons samengevoegd in een vierkante meter (cabine) waarvan de deuren niet volledig afsluiten wat toch wel enigszins behelpen is .. Al met al een 7,5 op de schaal van 10.
