Jonnick was fantastic. The Chateau was spacious and warm; a home away from home for us. We were treated like family. His dogs became friends and every night there was special. When we come back we want to stay at Chateau Buchy!
A pretty unique place to stay. We had a family room/suite with excellent facilities. A small chateau in a village not too far from Metz. Host was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent.
We loved our stay here. Tiny, quiet French village away from the noise of the city. Delicious , full spread breakfast with homemade jams, and pain perdu (french toast). Our host was kind and spoke fluent english. This place has real charm! Would definitely come back.
What a wonderful place to stay! An old hunting lodge in a small village in the French countryside within easy driving distance to Metz. You drive up a small incline and arrive at the front of the property which is part of a working farm. The front entrance looks great! The owners son let us in (there is a number to call on the door if you get there and no one is in the building) and led us to our room. A grand entrance with a stone staircase and tall ceilings down corridors with massive doors and original handles felt quite epic. The room was huge and very comfortable. Lovely beds, couches, chairs, and a coffee table provide lots of places to sit. The bathroom was newly renovated and lovely. I walked up and down the hallway more than a few times just because it felt so cool! The owner came by and introduced himself and setup the jacuzzi for us. It feels pretty sweet to sit in a jacuzzi in the shadow of a former hunting manor in the French countryside. Breakfast was made by the owner and was really good! French toast, fresh eggs, and home made jam to highlight a few things! The owner was also very nice. He answered some questions about the property and made sure to come out and wish us farewell and safe journeys as we left.
We really enjoyed our stay on our drive from Ireland. Our host Yannick was so nice and friendly. The room was spacious and so warm and cosy. Breakfast was really good. We appreciate how dog friendly it is and our 2 little doggies enjoyed their stay.
Really enjoyed the large and comfortable bedroom and modern bathroom. Very peaceful place in the country. The breakfast was great with homemade jams, breads, etc. The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome and at home at his beautiful château.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the rooms huge, and the dinner and breakfast excellent! And being so close to the Lorraine-TGV station was perfect for our travel plans. Merci!
Nice owner at the property who lives there as well. We stopped off on the way through France for the night. A large old Manor House, rooms a bit no frills but OK.
Lovely, large rooms. Firm mattresses. Tasty and well presented continental breakfast. Nice old feel to the place, as though you are visiting Grandma, but modern bathroom facilities and plenty of outlets to charge phones, tablets, etc. Amazingly quiet. Easy to reach from the highway. Yannick was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our overnight stay very much.
Très bel établissement. Rien n'y manque de belles chambres un propriétaire très gentil et un petit déjeuner au top avec des produits excellents. A recommander sans modération !!!
