Unfortunately there were several problems with our stay at the Canada Hotel. We arrived well after midnight due to a delayed flight; the reception was manned by a less than friendly staff member.
Our room had two large windows with flimsy curtains that had no block out for the sun, therefore be prepared to be woken very early. The toilet seat was loose and the door to the bathroom made it uncomfortable to use as it almost touched the seat. The shower head was very high and if you used it as intended the water would have gone over the top of the shower onto the floor, therefore we had to lather and then use the hose to rinse.
The door to the room jams and required us to lift it in order to get in or out. All in all not a place we would recommend.
Upgraded to a larger room, which was great.
Unfortunately last day of departure, electricity was turned off due to government shut down . So, very hot in Hotel.
Good stay .
Front garden beds need weeding and attending too.

Excellent service and confortable rooms.
I'll come back for sure!!!
My stay was terrible.
i stayed on level 4 of the hotel and it was extremely noisy! I could here people partying outside till after 12pm.
The restaurant only has breakfast and no dinner.
The shower is awful. The showerhead does not spray down it sprayed on the wall to the side.
The curtains are terrible. They do not go down to cover the entire window and the sun in the morning at 4am will shine into your room.
I had 3 lamps in my room. Only 1 worked.
There was no remote for the air conditioner and it decided to randomly go on during the night leaving me to sleep in utter cold!
I had to go ask the reception and then only they supplied me with the remote.
The tellephone in the room does not work and I couldnt not call reception.
Reception service is awful. When i checked in i barely recieved a smile and the man rushed through some words and told me to go to my room.
On my second nights stay, there were tons of people outside my room in the hallways shouting at each other.
I called the reception on my cellphone to ask them if they could please help reduce the noise. The man at reception told me « I do not understand » and hung up the phone in my room ear.
Hotel is in a terrible location with no restaurants around.
This hotel is way to expensive for the bad sevice, room and location.

Cost effective
Cost effective at that quality level. Plan was to have a hotel outside the downtown and it was vacant at last and at least. It is good enough to sleep in a bed at night. Consequently parking was convenient and space enough. The target was to go fort the match of the night and in the morning to get to company meeting from an easy exit location.
Our experience with this hotel was very good. Rooms were nice, breakfast was good.

ANT INFESTATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hotel was generally good and the breakfast was average. The room had carpet on the floor which was infested with ants!!!They managed to get into the bed as well, by morning. The shower soap dish had not been cleaned in weeks either. Reported this to reception but no financial compensation given or an apology, just offered crisps and soft drinks. Not satisfactory!!!!
The hotel is no centrally located but is a short walk to the 2 tram that takes you to most sights. The hotel needs a bit of an update. The carpet in the room was filthy. Didn't look lile it had been vacuumed. The breakfast buffet was modest with a few selections of meat, cheese, bread and cereals. The desk clerks were helpful and arranged what you needed. Overall I would choose a hotel closer to the center next time.
very disappoionting , not 3 star accomodation lucky to be a 1. Breakfast was very poor quality, no toast, cordial instead of fruit juice.Wouldnt stay there again and wouldnt recommend.
If you are staying in this hotel, you will need a car to get around, there are no restaurants or bars on sight. We requested a double bed, received two single beds instead, the staff apologized, they gave away our room to another guest. This was a bit disappointing.
Otherwise our room was very clean and new, good value for the price.
good experience, please find out the schedule for the night bus(923), and you will be fine.. goes directly from town to the hotel..
Just only 2 hairdryers in the whole hotel, so please remember to bring it back to reception after use.. ;) Or buy a hairdryer for the hotel ;) We where thinking about that..

Extra charges
We stayed in the hotel for one night before our trip to Miami. We arrived at 8 pm, the kitchen was closed. The location is I would say in business area, only petrol station is around. However, the waitress make for us sandwich. It was nice.
Very negative point was that receptionist ask us to pay local tax even if our voucher was including all charges and taxes. She said that I have payed less price that it was printed on my voucher. It was not trough, so but on the end we have to pay extra local taxes again.
