The staff member, Ray, was very unprofessional after I confronted him about making a scanned copy of my ID and Credit Card. He was very dismissive and had very rude responses. I checked in and immediately found a roach crawling on the floor. I went back to see and showed Ray the video & photo of the roach. He upgraded me to a larger room towards the very far back. The back of the property and sketchy and dangerous with loitering, trash digging, drunk individuals. Even saw a prostitute in a van with a client. I could have put all that aside if i didnt have to call my credit card and ask them to send me a new credit card since they putting our personal information and credit cards at risk. Will not be going back here anytime soon.

This was a great hotel for the price and was even a little bigger than most standard hotel rooms. I found the bed very comfortable. I would definately stay again.

The place is old and needing some serious renovations. It was dirty, had bloody toilet paper roll in the dispenser, blood on the walls, the shower barely worked and drained, the pool area was very dirty. All around dirty and in poor condition. We had constant problems with our room keys even if we left them away from our phones. The only good thing was the staff.

My son was ill and so we could not travel to California and Howard Johnson Buena Park REFUSED to provide any refund whether partial or full. Do not recommend this hotel at all.

All the area smells like cigarettes the breakfast was okay just cereal waffle and white plain bread this is a very very old building but for the price I guess you get what you pay for great deal.

We had to move rooms 3 times. The first room had a puddle from a leakig fridge. 2nd room didn't have a working AC unit.

The Hotel was clean but the bathtub needed repairs and the breakfast needed more items to be called a breakfast. Maybe some hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, like apples or oranges and orange juice, bagels with cream cheese. There was only slices of sandwich bread, waffles and candy Cereal and apple juice. Not much of a breakfast. It was more like a continental breakfast and not a full breakfast with more variety. Anyways the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Had a good night sleep. This is why I gave it a 3 thank you!

The place is dirty, poorly maintained, and the plumbing in our room did not function. The screen on our window was ripped off and the window was left partially open and off the track. The 'breakfast' was very sad with half the typical options unavailable. A very disappointing stay

Very close to Knotts berry farm! Staff extremly freindly. Beds were very hard and breakfast sucked! Only went 1 of 3 days to breakfast. Waffles werent very good. Syrup wasnt very good. Plain bread with toasters and only two cereal choices. Generic Raisin bran and Generic fruit loops thats all! Too many tables for a tiny area hard to get around.
