There were workmen in the foyer area so I could hardly hear the receptionist upon arrival, parking is not secure and I had to walk up a flight of stairs using a crutch. The fire alarm went off but we could not hear it in our room and the staff told my husband it was just a drill so we ignored it, but then when we heard the fire engines with siren blazing we opened the door to our room again and heard an updated emergency message to use fire stairs and evacuate the hotel! No staff came to check if we were ok. So I had to climb down 3 flights of stairs with a crutch, the bottom flight was super hazardous as the hand rail had come off the wall and was on the stairs so manuovering over this was also a requirement. The room is very stuffy and humid and the towel was not replaced from the person beforehand, however the breakfast was amazing. The hotel staff need training in emergency evacuation and the room was mainly clean even though the bath towel and sponge were not. However I would go again as the breakfast food choice and service was awesome.

The property is in a good location however showing its age. It’s in serious need of a renovation. Very dated and noisy. Price paid doesn’t reflect quality. Facilities need updating. Rooms are ok but missing features noted on website. Carpets and furniture need updating. Popular weekend for sporting even but pricing for what the room offered was not warranted.

Loved the downtown location and within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, art galleries, museums, and beaches. There are too many nicknacks and cushions in the lobby and fluffy cushions in the rooms. They make the lobby look tacky, and previously, it looked more stylish without these. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious.

Good but with a bitter start.
The room was great and the food was good. The customer service was mostly great accept the initial check in. The guy was extremely rude and not helpful. Overly direct and seemed like he didnt want to be there otherwise everyone less was very friendly and helpful.

The lady at the front counter was rude, they hold $100 for incidentals but then proceeded to take the incidentals out on top of the hundred dollars that they've taken. On top of that my meal was missing food that was listed on the menu, eg Potato and Feta. The lady in the restaurant was lovely

I love the atrium style layout of the property and the late check in. I know it's small, but I also love all the live plants on the balconies of the atrium! Much nicer than fake plants.The Lord Forrest is where I always like to stay in Bunbury. Highly recommended.

Hotel is close walking distance to the Bunbury CBD shops and restaurants. I purchased a city view room at extra expense to the standard room but was disappointed by the view from the room into the rooftops of adjoining buildings not much of a view at all so don't upgrade your room selection. When I raised the matter with the staff they seamed disinterested and simply said they would pass my comments on.
