Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, spectacular view from the 7th floor Lakeside. Very comfortable. Best blackout shades I've encountered. That said, for the price point plus a resort fee, i didnt expect to also pay extra for parking.

Room service seemed insufficient. At end of day, our room had not been serviced, and it was time to get ready to go to dinner. We just asked for a set of towels for the night, instead of having the room made up. Hotel was quiet. The bathroom had been updated but did not have a ventilation fan due to age of building. Nice furnishings and very clean.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only downfall was not being informed or no signs posted stay that it was a cashless hotel. Being from Canada it would have been nice to know this before hand,

Good experience, love the cafe on the 1st floor Had a very noisy AC in the room and front desk changed our room, very helpful staff. Bathrooms are a bit small and missing some hooks especially when you are 4 persons and need to hang towels. A bit pricey for what it is but the hotel is clean and well located

Good location and a decent property. Staff were very attentive and professional. Room was decent size and well maintained. It was next to elevators which made it quite noisy on Saturday evening and the hotel did offer to move us for Sunday but the hotel seemed much quieter on Sunday so we stayed put and that night was fine. The casual place for breakfast was very good while the main evening dining place was more “good” than very good. We did have a hiccup on parking as after checking out and paying for parking we got to our rental car and found a parking ticket on it. A trip back to the hotel lobby went smoothly as they had a process for handling it with the city - so it was more of an irritant than anything else. Overall while I couldn’t rate it 5 stars or excellence but it was certainly a very good place to stay and we would certainly use the hotel in the future.

Pretty hotel, room for improvement.
The Hotel Champlain itself was beautiful, and the grounds were lovely. Unfortunately, it seems there were some things that could have been improved but perhaps they didn’t have the staff to do it? The room service was unavailable (I know, first world problems) the restaurants within the hotel were way overpriced and mediocre at best. The complimentary coffee bar on our floor was out of service. I guess all in all it wasn’t terrible but I think there is room for improvement, especially given how much we spent to stay there. Not so sure I would return.
