There aren't words to express Deirdre and John's guest home, aptly titled "Ocean's End," but I'll give it a try. I've stayed in many excellent vacation properties, but the experience here puts this one at the top. It is nestled in a stunning cliffside of West Cork, with wonderful towns to visit within 15, 30 or 60 minutes. My friend and I loved our visits to Kinsale, Courtmacsherry, Clonakilty and Cork. We were provided with fresh scones and treats upon our arrival, and John showed us around the working dairy farm. When the electricity went out for a few hours, Deirdre and John both kept us up to date and made sure we had water and fresh breakfast. Staying in this rental is something I'll be dreaming of for ages to come. It was a pleasure when the WiFi unexpectedly went out for a few days because we could simply bask in the glory of our surroundings. Watching the parade of cows to and from their pastures was great entertainment, as was watching the cattle dogs Teddy and Robin do their duties. Managing the typical winding roads of the area was well worth it to come back to this seaside oasis. Stay here for as long as you possibly can, and watch your cares disappear.
