Lovely modern and clean hotel
This was our second stay at Crystalbrook Riley and we had another 5 star experience. Rooms felt nice and clean and modern, wonderful pool and onsite facilities and restaurants. Walking distance from the Esplanade and everything we wanted to do in Cairns. Hoping to return sometime soon 😊

A beautiful property with stunning panoramic views of the sea & mountains. The pool & spa areas were wonderful. Breakfast was excellent. Within walking distance to restaurants, shops & activities.

Excellent location, beautiful property, and superb rooms. We had a full ocean view with balcony and really enjoyed the quality of the room's fittings and fixtures, especially the lighting. Only criticism is that the bars and restaurants close WAY too early around 10pm and the Rooftop Bar was closed on Weduand Thursday when we really wanted to go, that seems pretty mental to be honest!

We always stay at the Chrystalbrook Riley and have stayed in various rooms, all very nice. It is walking distance to everything and parking is easy. 1. They have opened a new restaurant since our last visit, Calypso Club thinking this would provide more options for meals. The restaurants were closed both Paper Crane & Calypso therefore only providing pool food which does not have a good variety, not at all. When the restaurants have private functions they do not advertise this, when not prepared it does become an inconvenience especially if you have children. 2. It is one of the only hotels in Cairns that do not provide an outdoor or an indoor shower for those who have to check out and have a late flight time. They do offer the resort facilities; they are happy for you to use the pool and continue to spend money on drinks and food until you leave for the Airport. The downside and it’s a big one, ourselves and others were all told we could walk up the street to the Flynn to shower, dress and come back to pick up our luggage for the Airport. Not what I would expect for this hotel and the money you pay.

We recently stayed at the Crystalbrook Riley, and overall, it was a good experience. However, a few aspects of the breakfast service left much to be desired. When paying for the buffet breakfast, it’s reasonable to expect that coffee would be included, but it wasn’t, which was disappointing. Additionally, the breakfast itself didn’t feel worth the price. The variety and quality of food didn’t quite live up to our expectations, especially for the cost. The service and table maintenance at the buffet were also underwhelming. Tables often weren’t cleared promptly, and the general atmosphere felt lackluster, which detracted from the overall experience. While the stay was enjoyable in other aspects, the breakfast certainly needs improvement to match the hotel’s standards.

Had a really good 4 night stay at Riley. Everyone was very helpful and tried their best to accomodate my request. Our view was fantastic and to die for. The robes could be better though. (Bit itchy to wear) Overall, I definitely recommend staying et Riley.

I loved the cleanliness of the rooms, the view of the pool from our room was brilliant. One thing that I wasn’t a huge fan of was there was no room service where you could order food. As the room isn’t self contained sometimes it would have been nice if you could order food directly to your room. Also paper crane restaurant was a little disappointing as being a part of the hotel and being an Asian infused restaurant I would have liked to of ordered a fried rice, but no fried rice on the menu. Other than that it’s quite a nice place to stay.

Couldn’t really fault anything. Amenities and service were great. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The food at Paper Crane was a particular highlight. We’ll be back.

Loved the location and the room. Beautiful pool. Lovely staff except for one Australian girl when checking in. Was rude to her colleague -and nudged her to move as she was checking us in and told us move over harshly. Being in hospitality ourselves was very shocked at her behaviour. Other than that was all perfect. I think people should be warned not to go out by yourself at night as our 22 year old son was walking to Woolworths at 8pm to be confronted by a gang of indigenous youths with knives on there belts. They pushed him and fortunately he is a fast runner he took off and they chased him. Police were roaming the area which stopped them. We were then warned by many locals about this happening. Foreign travellers especially need to know about the youth crime in the area.

Pool was in a great spot for the sun. Calypso bar lovely place to spend an afternoon. Only negative thing was the rooms ac . Couldnt set the temp below 21 and when reported to reception they did something on the computer at reception so the ac only went on full fan and full cooling ,so it would stay down to 14 deg .The service guy never showed up after requesting 3 times .
