I’m not meaning to be negative with this property, staff were good, breakfast good, room clean. Basic bar on site with pool/football tables to play…. It’s the centre of Calais, I didn’t realise Calais has such a great night life (casino & nightclub over the road) but in this occasion I had an early ferry crossing with small people so didn’t appreciate to good vibes being had outside… other positives were free roadside parking and lots of restaurants nearby, we went to the Italian on the square which was lovely. Also got a great view of the traditional lighthouse

Extremely disappointing stay. Several issues from misleading information about parking to no air con and the general condition and cleanliness. Firstly, upon arrival we were notified there was no parking available, that we should have called to reserve a place and that it was full. There was nothing in the Hotels.com listing to indicate that. We specifically picked this hotel for the parking. The room was very warm when we arrived and we tried to put the air con on but it wasn’t working. We were then advised that because it was September, the air con had been switched off and changed for heating and there was nothing they could do. It had reached 25 degrees that day, and the room was very warm. We tried to leave the window open but being on the main road it was too noisy with bars on the street. As a result we were barely able to sleep. The carpet was dusty, the toilet wasn’t properly clean, the window blind was broken.

We were given two rooms on the rear of the hotel. One up very steep stairs. Asked for bath but did not get one. Tried to exit hotel to cat park to find we were locked in. Very dangerous. Took twenty minutes to get help. Also street noise kept us awake until early hours of the morning.

Room was ok room was 4th floor after 3rd floor taking stair no lift no kettle even no dust bin in the room I don’t think its suitable for kids its very hard to taking kids 4th floor with stairs .overall i give them 5 points only

We got a quiet room as requested. Air con needed to be reset a couple of times because it was not cooling. Free breakfast was a nice touch with good variety. Parking is limited. Please make it clearer how people can reserve a hotel parking space.

Hotel room was pretty ran down, shower was dirty and flies in the room on arrival. The lobby and restaurant were well kept. Breakfast was nice and staff were very friendly. No car space on arrival so book in advance! Surrounding area was ok with lots of restaurant options for meals. Overall it was ok for a one night stopover and price for 3 people was ok.

Room was small, bathroom door didn t shut properly and shower flooded the floor. Breakfast was good but no mayo for eggs which you need to cook yourself and somebody helped themself to egg i was patiently waiting to be cooked. Freshly squeezed orange juice and freshly baked croissants. Good selection of cheese and ham.

Very good hotel, great value for price. However, while they do and can advertise free on site parking, the parking area is very small and cannot accommodate all guests leaving some to rely on luck and timing to find street parking at no cost close to the hotel.
