Fabulous views and great location
We loved the location, the views, the abundance of beds (none of us had to use a top bunk) and three bathrooms! Wish the master had blinds. Had issues with the kitchen and have provided feedback to property manager/owner. Biggest issues were the mold in refrigerator water dispenser tube and jetted tub (master bath) intake/filter. Wishes for more hand towels and washcloths and better dish soap in kitchen. Also unscented hand soap for bathrooms would be nice for those of us with allergies. We enjoyed being together, the two tables in the kitchen/dining areas and cooking great meals to share. Enjoyed walking the beach, the views, and the space to be together. Some found a pickleball court to play on and a wine tasting event to attend nearby.

Whalehouse
Would have given it a 5 but you really need to have some sort of blinds on the master bedroom. Neighbors can see right in and a bright sun at 5 in the morning. Saw lots of sea animals. Kids enjoyed the beach and such a lovely view.

Nice stay!
The property is very well maintained and clean. The mattress of bunk beds are however a little wonky. It would also be nice if we didn't have to get our coffee. Otherwise, we had a great time there and the beach and view is great!

Cozy outlook amid stormy waters
private, hidden community of longtime beach homes. Beautiful floor-to-ceiling views of the wind-whipped waves. Not enough beach to walk along, due to the king tides and nighttime low tides. House is fine for kids and adults, with a decent kitchen and a huge master suite upstairs.

Perfect for a lazy weekend
Didn't know that there are dolphins around here. They came by at dusk. Just right off the back patio. We also saw quite a few seal. The house is right on the water. It would be good for storm watching. There's a nice little rocky beach at low tide. Kitchen was pretty well equipped. Very comfortable. Responsive management. I'd stay again for sure.

House is situated right on the water. It was fine for our group of 10. However, it sleeps up to 14 but there is very limited parking, so plan accordingly. A bit more comfy seating would have been nice for a large group.

This vacation rental is absolutely perfect! So many beds for people to sleep in! Great for a family reunion etc! Super clean and couldn't have a better location! Gorgeous views. Saw dolphins, lots of salmon jumping out of the water, and a couple seals. Kitchen is amazing and has all kinds of dishes, cookware and even lots of spices. Thanks for a great place. Memories to last a lifetime

Great Beach House
Loved the house and the beach, lots of room for our grown kids and our grandchildren. The 2 kayaks were used by all and the kids swam every day. So nice to be able to watch from the deck & patio. Hope to stay at the Whalehouse again next spring or summer!

We were so pleasantly surprised by the space- it’s even more gorgeous in person! As someone who’s never visited camano island before- I didn’t realize there was absolutely no take out delivery. We ate out at tapped brewery though and it was amazing.

Beautiful stay right on the beach
The house is lovely and sits right on the beach. Loved having the fire pit for sitting around in the evening and enjoying the stars from the patio. Plenty of beds for big families and a beautiful master sweet with stunning views of the water. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils but could use more than one kitchen garbage bag and one dishwasher detergent.

Book club trip
What a great place for 9 friends to gather. It is more beautiful than the pictures! We adored cooking in the fabulous kitchen, the views are breathtaking. In addition to beach walks the neighborhood along the water is wonderful for walking.

Perfect spot to celebrate a simple Christmas with family. House was cozy and view was tranquil. Great cooking kitchen with real pots and pans, convection oven, gas cooktop( bring along your own knives if want anything sharp and non serrated).

We booked the house to celebrate a 50th birthday party. Because of pandemic we had a small family group, making sure everyone was fully vaccinated, it was the first time we could all get together in 2 years. We had a great time the house is beautiful and the location was outstanding... warm cozy and room for the 9 of us. We did have some issues with, the barbeque, the gas range and lack of some supplies. We contacted the 24/7 emergency line and were not happy with the response. We are a group of problems solvers and we worked around the issues and contacted Turnkey upon our return. We were happy with the actions Turnkey took to make it right. They also let us know that they will be correcting the issues we had to deal with before renting the house again. Turnkey was receptive to our concerns and are working towards correcting the issues.

Safety of gas fireplace and electrical lights unresponsive property management
I would advise anyone considering this rental to walk away, no run away. It is anything but TurnKey (Turnkey: built, supplied, or installed complete and ready to operate) but this house felt unsafe due to the electrical and gas fireplace related problems. I am a frontline nurse at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and I was looking forward to a relaxing vacation with my friends free of concerns and problems. From the moment we arrived at 4pm on a Friday evening we had difficulty. The access entry code did not work delaying our entry by 30 minutes. On entry we turned on the living room fireplace and then attempted turning on the lighting in the living room. Each of tried all the apparent switches and none worked. Turnkey management person, Travis, attempted to find the switch by looking at the online pictures and no switch was ever found. Just of note we were there for a knitting retreat and needed great light, which this house appeared to have from its online pictures and tour. There are no floor or table lamps anywhere in this house. While looking for the lights we discovered the living room fireplace was over heating the living room space to 80 degrees and would not turn off. We could not locate a gas shut off valve. The decorative brick was getting very hot and the temp kept going up. Ultimately the only way to turn it off was to go to the circuit box and turn it off, which also turned off the Wi-Fi and hot water. Again, Travis was notified and he let us know there was nothing that could be done Friday night. At that point, not including texts we had spent well over an hour on the phone. The calls and text began again on Saturday morning with attempts to resolve the fireplace safety problems and lighting problems continued. Eventually (2pm Saturday) the person who regularly cleans delivered very nice floor lamps. Tatiana was professional and very helpful. She also tried to fix the electrical problems and gas fireplace problems with no result. Kendra at TurnKey joined the text conversation and just kept suggesting the same things that had already been tried even suggesting fixes that felt like we should do fireplace maintenance. Ultimately at 8 pm Saturday night Travis suggested that if we vacated we could get our money returned for Saturday night stay. We were on vacation and had no were to go, we turned off the circuit again and left all the windows open. No one, other than the cleaning person ever came to the

Escape from the city
Enjoyed watching the otters and blue heron that hung out in front of the house. We needed a quiet escape and this was the perfect spot for it. Beautiful, cozy, quiet house. The only thing we would change about this place is having one of the couches face the water for drinking coffee in the morning or just relaxing in general. The view is so striking, we would have liked to lounge, watching the water, more. Two strong people could turn the big couch around, but my healing broken ankle did not permit this. Not a big deal, plenty of seating otherwise both inside and on the patio. Some tips for travelers: Bring your dog gate so the dogs can't roam the house freely if you have dogs that can't resist smelling everywhere and could be tempted to mark, even if housetrained. We forgot our gate but were able to use one of the two handy folding tables available to keep the dogs downstairs (hardwood) from carpeted upstairs. There are nice metal skewers available for making smores or hotdogs over the nice fireplace outside, may want to bring kindling, a couple logs to throw on. There were a few logs ready to go waiting for us. There are two similar remotes that confused us briefly, use the one that has the Amazon button on top. Did not see a blow dryer so glad I brought my own. Good quality soap, I would bring my own shampoo and conditioner next time with my sensitive, long hair, though plenty of sufficient product was available Thank you to the property owners, we did not have any issues arise on this visit, and would definitely stay here again.
