Hotel is near by to the main food and shopping areas, it's a good transit hotel, I wouldn't say that it is luxury. However facilities, furniture and technology (eg, tv, lights, ac, hairdryer, iron) in the room is okay, just a little outdated but it doesn't impact your overall stay if that is not something you care for on this trip. Mini fridge and bar are well stocked

We had parking for our three day stay👌. We used the restaurant and pub grub when no table available. Staff helpful and friendly. Great location with easy bs transport free or cheap to many of the historic buildings/gallaries. All those we spoke to on our travels were so helpful and friendly too!

We’re two international Travel Journos and over the years tried most Canberra Hotels, from 5-star to 3-star. The Avenue Hotel suits us best. It ticks all the boxes we require to have a pleasant stay. Its location is convenient. We park the car and walk to all the places of interest to us. We used to be fan of the Meriton’s in Sydney, but the Canberra Avenue Hotel is a notch better. We have no complaints, it’s a place worth staying at. See you on our next visit to the Nation Capital. 😊
