The rooms are fine, don't ask for early check-in
Prefracing: I know they don't offer early check in. But hear me out. We booked this because we were being picked up for a wedding. I called a week in advance and I was told over the phone that they had put a mark on my booking to let them know to check for early check in. This was fine, I was told to call closer to the day. I call the day before we were to travel down. They said call the morning of, that's fine. We call the morning of - as we were on the road to Canberra. Brett picks up the phone, says he's unsure we'll just have to talk to the desk when we get there. My wife is breastfeeding and needs some privacy to pump. So we were hoping there was a parents room, or at worst - a disabled toilet. We get to the hotel, room is still unavailable and we have to wait for another 20 minutes before they can check if there's a room available. My wife asks for a parents room. There is none, we can use the disabled toilets - it is locked, opened with a butter knife. So not a great start. I approach the desk again, a sweet lady (did not get her name, but you were the only brown person on staff that day) was gracious and said you could find us a room potentially. She finds a room, says she will walk up to us and give us a key. She does, we get into our room. The room, and the rest of the hotel is fine. Perfectly acceptable. But just weird policies around early check in that made it more stressful than required. Why do you have to contact the other person to confirm??

I have enjoyed my stayed at the pavilion on a number of occasions. However this time will be the last. Extremely disappointed with restaurant, whether they lost or just didn't take my phone booked. After 35 minutes with no service we decided to have our order in our room (as the atmosphere was not inviting) for some reason we weren't allowed to order from the menu we'd read for so long. The person taking our order was obviously in training, where was the supervisor? After ordering room service i asked how long it would be. 15 minutes was the response from two employees. 50 minutes later when I called the restaurant to find out where our dinner was. She hung up on me... The food arrived cold. The garlic bread I'm sure was left overs from another customers plate. The 3rd level smelt like stale body odour throughout. The smell then wafted through the AC. I booked and paid for a roll away bed. At 11 while still waiting i was informed "sorry housekeeping is locked for the night". I eventually got the bed, but only with my insistence. All in all extremely disappointing and a massive waste of money.

Apart from the little cosmetic faults of the room I had stayed in, everything was relatively clean, and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, there was next to no noise from neighbouring rooms, or the busy road right outside. Having the food from the Atrium was delicious, though due to the price, I may not eat there again. The option for 24 hour room service was not used by me, but very convenient in the instance if I needed something to eat throughout the night. All in all, if I return to visit Canberra again, I will be staying here.

All good here.
The place was great, sure it might be a bit tired, but the place was clean, th bed comfortable, water pressure great. Free car parking. Has bar and restaurant.

The property is really well maintained and the inside is immaculate and the bar lounge dining area under the big The type circus top is really inviting with all the greenery around rooms are accessible as an elevator therefore upstairs so you don’t have to lug you luggage upstairs the rooms are well appointed And the staff are really good and parking is safe and secure

Very pleasant and convenient
Clean, comfortable room - although a friend noted worn carpets, so perhaps not all rooms are of the same standard. Very pleasant atrium for coffee or dining. About 5 mins walk to tram to city. Secure parking at rear but may be a long way from hotel entrances. Be wary of trees dropping filmy substance on cars in some parts.
