The food at the Fisheria needs to be improved along with the service. They need to provide more lounge chairs at the beach & pool. They could use more servers at the pool & beach areas. Could provide more nightly entertainment. Shout out to Miguel & Alejandro--great bartenders!

While I wanted to get away and unwind, that was accomplished. However I felt the hotel didn’t meet my standards for ambiance and quality for my money. We were delayed at the airport which delayed our checkin, we waited for more than 1/2 hour. There were only 3 staff checking in more than 20 people. Our room, had 2 double beds and hotel had confirmed a king size bed w ocean view. I Immediately said something to the bellboy who then called the front desk and was told they had no more King size beds available and I would have to check the next day to see if one became available. I would have to go down at 8 in the morning to confirm they had one and would have to check out of our current room and bring down our own luggage by 11:00. A room did become available but then the elevators weren’t working, waited 10 mins then my husband went and asked the room service staff if there were any other elevators available, she said no and walked downstairs to the lobby desk and told them to have the elevator sent up, waited another 10 minutes and nothing, so I walked downstairs to get the elevator going up while my husband waited with the luggage on the 3rd flr, I got on with another couple who were going to an upper flr, I pushed 3rd flr button grabbed my husband and luggage went to upper flr the other couple got off and finally elevator went to the main lobby. We had to wait until 2:00 to recheck in to our room. We were given the last corner room on a lower floor. Would not recommend,

Pros: the location, the spa, the pool areas, the Mexican restaurant, the ocean view rooms with balcony and the service provided by all the staff. Cons: the entire hotel it’s outdated, run down. From the furniture, fixtures, towels and drink ware. The walls and furniture have several stains. This makes you question the cleanliness of the bathroom. The food is average. The fresh fruit, bread and omelet/tacos stations rescues the buffet style restaurants. Overall I had a good time. However I strongly recommend investing in remodeling the property and purchasing new recyclable plastic glasses and towels for the rooms and the beach. The entire experience made me feel as I was staying in a cheap hotel and it was not! The hotel survives thanks to the great service the staff provides but it’s risky to rely on just that. If you are not planning to invest then lower your prices. I would recommend staying here if you are a teenager in spring break or if you have no other options.

We had a very nice time. There are lots of dining options and the beach is beautiful. The hotel is very nice too, there is a newer building and an older building. The older building could have more maintenance but overall it was great.

The beach is excellent! The location is great! The best beach view from balcony. The alcoholic was not great, I had the all inclusive and if you wanted the good liquor you were charged extra for it. At times, it was difficult to get reservations for the extra restaurants on property.

We were pleasantly surprised about how very nice this resort was. I noticed that some reviews were not very good, and I do not agree with them at all! We have been to various resorts in Mexico through the years, and we really enjoyed The Krystal. We were aware, like everyone, that we were not staying at a 5 star resort. The view and beach in front of this resort is absolutely beautiful, especially from our balcony. The resort was: clean, pretty, well organized, easy check in and check out, drinks were good and if you wanted a stronger one they would make you one for you with no problem at all, friendly staff and the food was fine. We figured out our favorites. We liked the fish tacos at the little place at the end of the resort, and really enjoyed the Mediterranean restaurant, especially the lasagne. Yes, there were a few things that needed improving, but over all we had a great vacation. We would stay here again!

I've stayed in cancun many times. And the Krystal hotel was one of my favorite places to stay.i will definitely be going back! its definitely showing its age.But was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was decent. And the beach ⛱️ is amazing.

There are clubs that are close to the resort and they seem to be trying to be the loudest, as a result you hear that loud music at night. Property is pretty old. Make sure if you are showering no one flushes the toilet or you will burn. Buffet was alright. Staff was great and willing to help.
