This was a first all-inclusive resort experiencefor my husband and I and our two children and we had an absolute blast. The staff is amazing, there are tons of activities for the kids and adults alike. The rooms are very nice and the food is very good and the level of service blew our expectations away. My only complaint occurred right after check in. The employee who checked us in said that we should next go talk to his colleague, who proceeded to basically try to get us to do what appeared to be a timeshare presentation the next morning at a partner property. After about 10 minutes of him explaining and trying to get us to commit to going there the next morning I told him there was no way I was committing to anything because I had just checked into the hotel and wanted to experience the place I had paid for. There was never any explanation as to why this was part of the check-in process and it was kind of frustrating but then every single other part of our stay was fantastic so it was easy to let it go.

The hotel was okay. Staff was pleasant and facilities were good. The one thing I did not like was the upgraded package which made no difference but cost more. It didnt really feel premium and a lot of persons were using preferred access spaces without having preferred status- could have saved me 200USD. Also didn’t appreciate that the upgrade was non-refundable…it feels a bit tricky. Anyway, generally a decent stay. 7/10.

This was our first Dreams all-inclusive resort, although we’ve been to many others resorts in Cancun. This was my least favourite of all my experiences. Given this brand is considered a 4.5 star, it surely didn’t feel it. Cons: - We were a group of 34 and our hotel rooms were scattered across the resort, no attempt to keep us clustered even though the booking was made all together. When asked the front desk staff responded, we have too many groups. - The steak house - worst dining experience of all the al a carte restaurants. The food at the steakhouse was sub par. We found hair in the food on two different plates. The service was also not great, rude and inattentive waiter. - Pool towels. Get your towels early. One day there was a 3 hour wait to get towels. - Room towels, we were a family of 4 and they consistently only left 2 new towels when they cleaned the room. We had to call down daily for extra towels. On two occasions we were told that they were out of towels and the hotel was too busy so we had to share wet towels after showers. - We had quite a few vegetarians in out group and the options at the resort were limited. - I’m truly surprised at how small the restaurants were given the shear size of the resort and number of guest rooms. Some nights if you showed up at 6:45 you wouldn’t be able to get into a restaurant other than the buffet. - Buffet, the lunch buffet was the best. Disappointed with the service provided by the staff. While there were few really good staff members (for example at the blue water grill), most of the staff members were not courteous and were in fact rude. I was asked to pay more money the day after I checked in by stating the reason that the price I had previously paid was incorrect and they would now like me to pay a higher price. Also, the resort has a first come first serve basis for dining at all restaurants except one. This meant that we couldn’t plan our days in advance. At times, we had to wait more that two hours for the table which meant that kids were way past their usual dinner time. Eventually you either eat at 6 pm or after 9pm. I would not recommend the the resort for families.

Overall it was a good vacation. The staff at the property were very nice and helpful and went out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The food was ok, definitely not a foodie resort. There are options so it was still easy to find something to eat and food was pretty much available all day. The beach was not very good. Way too much seaweed and garbage and the water was not the greatest but not the hotels fault I guess. I would definitely recommend this place for families, my kids loved the water slides and spent some time everyday there. Would go back for the right price for sure.

Above and beyond service from all staff in the hotel, Pedro and hector at the pool bar and luis taking the nice cold drink to us always with great enthusiasm. At the sport bar Carlos was amazing treated me like family. Definitely recommend this resort. We were there for Halloween and they had a great event for kids and adults my kid enjoyed it.

1. They tried to charge us for sheets we ruined from getting food poisoning from the room service. They tried to charge us $576. We had to challenge this. 2. The only good service here is the housekeeping. They are divine. 3. The food is bad. Unless you go to a restaurant which are first come first serve so it’s extremely hard to get in one, but even then it’s not great. 4. They are extremely racist and made our stay absolutely horrible. We had to prove we were vip to use a golf cart for transportation. They tried to claim regular residents don’t have access. We were constantly told different information by everyone. 5. We were not allowed to leave the resort with an Uber. We were attacked by a taxi driver rocks thrown at us. And no one cared. It was terffying. No one would help us after being ATTACKED. You are trapped at this resort. Do not stay here if you’re Black or brown. This is a horrible place. This is my 3rd dreams experience all of them great but now I will never go back. My travel agent has been notifying Hyatt but everyone beware don’t go here.
