Every weekend in October, visit the International Alba Truffle festival or sample the world renowned white truffle at many of our local restaurants.

Hill walking: We can offer guided walks in the hills and vineyards around the cascina.

Tourist Attractions: Canelli town centre has 4 World Heritage sites with the antigue cellars of the winemakers, Contratto, Bosca, Gancia and Coppo. The area is also a World Heritage Zone with miles of vine covered hillsides, giving stuning panoramas.

Charming Country Stay
Diane and Brian are charming and excellent hosts. The location is great for exploring Piedmont, lots of good dining choices, lovely wine tastings. A perfect Italian get away without the crowds in Tuxcany or Venice.

Lovely old villa located in the midst of the grape vines just outside Canelli. Gated (electric) entrance with plenty of parking inside the wall. Beautiful views across the valley with vineyards, hazelnut trees, and a local flock of sheep! Tricky 1.5 km drive up a narrow road with lots of twists and turns to get to the villa, but you get used to it after a day or two! Diane and Brian were excellent hosts and most gracious, very willing to answer all our questions, make recommendations, and help out as needed. A wonderful 2 week stay in the middle of the Piedmont region.

Incredible
Hosts couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful in every single way. Gorgeous property very quiet every amenity thoughtfully provided with cheer and promptness. Dianne and Brian and Mandy shared restaurant referrals and a true human experience with consideration and happiness. Best VRBO experience EVER !! We hope to visit again in the future. I urge anyone to inking of going to this area to consider this location. It was convenient to many towns for exploration plus the big bonus of being with them. Superb stay

Beautiful Piemonte countryside
This was probably our favorite visit spending a month in Italy! Quiet country beauty only a short distance to Canelli, a small town. A very well appointed, large living space for a comfortable stay for a couple as we were or a family. I will highly recommend this place to friends who want to travel to this gorgeous area.

Explore a less touristy region of Italy
My husband and his sister and I often travel together in Italy. This six-day stay in Piemonte was one of our best trips. Dianne and Brian are outstanding hosts - their house is directly next door but they leave you on your own unless you need them, and then they are incredibly helpful. The property is gorgeous - the gardens, the outdoor seating areas where we had meals, the surrounding vineyards. The house is very comfortable and accommodating, as well. We loved visiting Turin and the nearby towns but always looked forward to coming back in the evening to the hilltop. Look forward to going back. Thank you, Dianne and Brian

Paradise in Piedmont
It is hard to describe how wonderful this property is. The description and photos suggest it but the reality is much better. The house is enormous, three bedrooms (the master is huge, as is its bathroom), two living rooms, a very generous kitchen and a bonus room for storing outdoor toys etc. Diane and Brian were consummate hosts, welcoming us with wine from their own vineyard and fruit off their trees. Our children had a wonderful time in the pool and playing with the large number of toys that were so thoughtfully provided. The kitchen is the most well equipped that I have ever experienced at a vacation rental property, which made for wonderful home cooked meals of the local produce, taken outside at the lovely hillside tables overlooking the most gorgeous valley and vineyards we could imagine. The surrounding hillside villages are lovely and the nearby town well stocked with anything you might need. Definitely a stay to remember, and one that we hope to repeat when next we return to Italy.

Wonderful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Canelli with Brian and Diane at their rustic farmhouse in the vineyards. The house is large with plenty of space for a large family or group. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and beautiful views. The kitchen is very well equipped. Diane is quite the cook and she stocks the kitchen accordingly. There are two family rooms, one stocked with lots of games and plenty of books. The 2nd family room is filled with toys, children’s books and games. My boys were quite happy. The grounds are stunning, the views and hiking direct from the door are great. The property is fenced in, so the kids can run freely without stress. Brian and Diane are outstanding hosts, provide lots of insight of things to do in the area and good recommendations for excursions and dining. Highly recommended!

We have just returned from a truly fantastic week in Cascina Cavolpi. A beautiful villa with absolutely amazing views. Dianne & Brian are exceptionally friendly hosts . We really enjoyed sampling some of their own wine while spending some very relaxing evening s having dinner overlooking the valley..Canelli itself is a 5 minute drive away ,we’re we found lots of little bars and restaurants. It has a weekly market selling fresh fruit, veg & fish , clothes and to my delight some very nice Italian leather sandals . On one of the days we took a trip to Asti , a very large market . Lots to see , definitely worth a trip. It is safe to say that we have definitely fallen in love with Canelli and cannot wait to return to Cascina Cavolpi . Thank you Dianne &Brian xx

The Dolce Vita!
Staying in this gorgeous property made us feel like celebrities. Being part of a working vineyard was an experience full of wonder. From the warm welcome by the owners, the comfort of the villa to the views of the Alps, vineyards and hilltop towns, you didn't even need to leave the property to feel the essence of Italy. The location is perfect for day trips to medieval towns, wineries and historic sites, but we were always anxious to get back to our rental to relax and live the "sweet life". The property and home were so beautiful and the owners so gracious that it felt like we had booked a vacation in an upscale boutique hotel. I would highly recommend renting this property and if I could rate it 10 stars I would!

Beautiful villa and fabulous hosts! Everything I could have wanted...and more!
Friends and I stayed for two weeks at this lovely hilltop villa. Brian and Dianne welcomed us with a lovely outdoor aperativo, which included their own wine and delicious appetizers. Throughout our stay, they cheerfully answered our questions and made recommendations regarding things to do. As a result, we went to a fabulous truffle festival in Bergamasco and had a memorable "white truffle" meal at Il Tre Poggi. We enjoyed Dianne's delicious home cooking on three occasions, including my birthday celebration, and participated in an impromptu group ravioli-making session that was lots of fun. It was so nice to return home after a day of adventures to have a meal ready to eat...and to drink without worrying about driving! The villa itself is set among lush gardens and vineyards and overlooks a spectacular valley. We loved waking up to a gorgeous view and watching the sun set over the valley each evening. One evening, we were treated to the rare occurrence of the full moon rising over the hill behind the villa -- truly spectacular! The villa itself has a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to do your own cooking. The living room is spacious and comfortable and has a gorgeous view. We enjoyed making a fire each evening with the wood that was provided just outside our kitchen door, in the cantina. Also in the cantina was a ready supply of Diane and Brian's wine for purchase at a very reasonable cost...we drank quite a few bottles! The living room had well-organized tourist information for each local town; we used that information to plan several of our adventures. Canelli itself is a lovely little village. It has numerous restaurants, shops, and grocery stores, as well as the Contratto winery, which is well worth a visit, as it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We took an all-day wine tour that included the La Spinetta and Contratto wineries, as well as lunch at the Ape Wine Bar, and loved it. We also went on a truffle hunt with a local Canelli truffle hunter, who also owns a salumeria. (The dog found three truffles, and ate one!) After the hunt, we had a wine tasting accompanied by local cheeses, meats, and eggs with white truffles. Within easy driving distance are many lovely towns. A visit to Alba and Neive are a must, as they are set among the gorgeous rolling hills and famous vineyards of the Langhe. Many, many thanks to Dianne and Brian for making my stay so memorable. I think you'll see me again!

Hospitality on high .
Half way up a hillside, so, wonderful views, sunsets and sense of space . The steep roads you get used to! Dianne and Brian greet you with drinks and canapés and send you off with the same hospitality. In between they are discreetly present for whenever you have a query or need assistance. Perfect hosts. The house is also spacious with a lot of elegant detail and thoughtful extras. No wifi or TV - a plus when you want to really get away from it all - but plenty of DVDs for adults and children, games and books. One extra room is solely equipped for children. Our children spent a lot of time in the pool and we also visited Canelli just down the hill for shopping at Simply and Lidl, beautiful Asti and Aqui Terme on market day. My only regret - that we didn't have the luck to spot the bee eater in their garden.

Wonderful stay in Cascina Cavolpi
Our family of 4 had a lovely holiday in Piemonte. The house itself is spacious, convenient and tastefully decorated; the views outside are spectacular. Our kids (2 and 6) had the best time. Brian and Dianne are the perfect hosts: very helpful, yet discrete. They will make you feel at home in no time. We made trips to Asti, Alba, and the Langhe/Roero area, but there are some smaller towns nearby that are worth visiting as well. Brian and Dianne will tell you all about them. We highly recommend!
