This is a beautiful rental home, the pool is wonderful, the home is spacious and it was great for 4 sisters and their husbands coming together from across the U.S. and spending a week celebrating being "Family"
We were surprised that the house did have some significant drawbacks.
1. Although the rental contract that was signed clearly stated that the check-in time was 3:00pm, we were notified the day before our arrival that the check in time was 4:00pm and could not be altered!
2. In our welcome email we were told that: "Parking is in the driveway in front or underneath the house". There is no parking "under the house"!!
3. Have never rented a large and beautiful home for a week and been told at check in that "the home would be supplied with a starter supply of: garbage bags [2], dishwasher soap [2], washing machine soap [2], paper towels [1 roll], 2 ounces of dishwashing soap, and 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom."
4. On our first evening we were all shocked to find that all of us in the house had very dirty feet from walking barefoot in the house - the floors were dirty so we learned to not walk barfoot in the house if we wanted to have clean feet.
5. The refrigerator door water and ice dispenser didn't work - to get ice we had to open the freeaer door and reach deep down into the high mounted ice maker and dig for ice by hand. Would have appreciated ice trays instead.
6. The light over the stove didn't work, the kitchen island outlet did not work.
7. Kitchen cupboards were a mess - dishes and pots and pans were mixed up throughout all of the upper and lower cupboards - finding 8 plates and cups for dinner was an adventure of having to hunt through all of the cupboards. There were also no wine glasses of any kind to be found. Because we actually enjoy cooking most of the items were in much better order when we left that they were when we arrived.
8. There was no information given to us about Trash Pick Up Day. We checked in on a Friday and when we went to place trash from the house into the outside trash bins on Sunday we found that they were already overflowing - there was no more room for the additional trash of our first two days of our 7 day renal! We then moved the overflowing trash bins to the curb and fortunately they were emptied by the trash service on Monday morning. We then moved the trash bins back to the side of the house and continued to place trash in them throughout the week.
Disapointed!
