Last week we spent a week in The Point of View home on Captiva Island Florida. The home is magnificent and definitely gets a Five Star Rating in our book, and the pictures online do the home justice for sure, but the home was even better than expected. What you are hoping for when you walk in the home is exactly what you had hoped for and more. An elegant home, beautifully decorated and except for the pier itself, which is undergoing repair as indicated in the advertisement, you wouldn’t know that Hurricane Ian had been there. Spacious in every respect and it easily housed our ten travelers with bedrooms, bathrooms, game areas, cooking facilities, an elevator and a covered pool and covered deck area next to the pool as well as indoor and outdoor games to name a very few of its many amenities. From the second and third floors you can see the Gulf of Mexico to the West and the channel to the East and the home sets on the channel itself. It is only a five-minute walk at most to the Gulf side and the sunrises from the back deck and sunsets from the beach are incredible. You will not be disappointed in the home. However, be prepared for possible surprises from workers coming for inside and outside work on or around the home. Some you will know about, some you may not. All the workers were extremely respectful and apologetic for the intrusions. The people on Captiva are great in every way. Captiva is still recovering from Ian for sure, but I don’t think you will be disappointed.
