The staff here are fantastic! Although the rooms are clean, the hotel is in need of updating - and the owners really need to sort the lift situation (I think it's the 3rd visit I've had where it's been out of action). But the staff more than make up for issues in the building.

We had another great short stay at The Angel. Happy with everything and we feel we got excellent value for money. We had a couple of drinks at the bar where the staff were very attentive and welcoming. Lovely clean room and all round good vibes. Thank you, we will be back.

Staff were excellent. The room was warm and the bed very comfortable. The restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced. There are a lot of choices for people who have dietary needs like GF and Vegetarian. This hotel is very good value for money.

Room was shabby and radiator was a hazard as out of its brackets. There was no safe or fridge and the bed was uncomfortable. Bath was mouldy in places. We had to ask for a second set of towels az there was two of us as per the booking! There was no working lift and apparently had been like this for 3 months.

Lovely room, clean but needs a bit of updating, particularly the shower & bathroom. Breakfast was great, staff lovely but disappointed that the bar closes early (was asked for last orders about half past ten ☹️)

What didnt go well (quite a few things!) Namely, no working lift / lifts. Both looked long out of service with no idea on when they might be operational again. This resulted in a substantial walk up several flights of stairs and through long corridors. A round trip to reception taking around 10 mins ! Secondly and quite possibly the most important thing - the temperature of the hotel throughout is insane. Its like a sauna everywhere you go, the bedrooms being the worst ! The TV didnt work and the older lady in reception who seemed like a manager ..needs to sort her attitude out. Extremely unhelpful and borderline rude. Also
