It was a piece of kitch in a kitchy old tourist area, that has been taken over and rebranded by locals. I enjoyed it, and more importantly, my OCD girlfriend was comfortable here. Don't expect a heated pool or hot tub, it's just a good clean place to stay, when visiting the caverns and a side trip to Sitting Bull Falls, which we highly recommend. It was just a nicer option than the sterile, more expensive new cookie cutter hotels much farther away in the town of Carlsbad proper. I'm glad to have stayed in this older but kept up bit of '60's pre-cast concrete hey dayism.

I arrived later in the evening, and found it easy to get checked in. I chose the Inn because of its proximity to Carlsbad Caverns, and I was not in the least disappointed. No reason to stay in Carlsbad for more money, in my view. My room was more than adequate. It was clean and well maintained.

Great property very clean, close to the caverns, nice pool, and the workers are very nice. They have a little cafe open until 3. We didn’t try the lunch but the breakfast was shockingly good.

The hotel is pretty good overall. Our key card would not work a couple of times, and we had to make numerous trips to the office. They did eventually get it worked out. Not much to eat around this town, and the only restaurant closes at 3 P. M. Overall, it was still a pretty good stay.

Room was very clean and nice. The area was quiet and seemed very safe. The person that checked us was very nice and gave us some great information on the park. Breakfast was a very basic continental, nothing fancy. We had a very nice stay.
