We loved staying here! The house has a great story. We had a small room, but it was just enough for what we needed. I want to go back and stay in one of the larger rooms. They look like fun. The staff were helpful and kind. Parking, as is for all facilities in Nelson, is a problem. The Cloudside handles that by paying parking meters of patrons wherever they park.

Great experience!
The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. There are a lot of stairs in the hotel, so be aware. It’s in a great location right downtown so you can walk everywhere.

The room we stayed in was exceptionally small. For nearly $200/ night, it features a great location, but the mattress was dated, the room was hot, and there was no in room coffee maker.

A beautiful characterful grand home caringly made into a fine hotel. Room was well appointed, albeit small - the Fir room, and perhaps we should in retrospect have taken a bigger room. Top notch hotel, thank yiu Chris. Loved the useful local dining options info card and the especially informative write up on Starbucks.

Love the overall vibe of this hotel. Super clean, great amenities. No elevator, as it is an old house but it’s been renovated nicely. It feels cozy, with a hint of luxury.

Huge, beautiful room, with a little sun porch. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. There was only room for four cars in their parking lot but if you had to park on the street they even fed the meter for you. We would absolutely stay there next time we're in Nelson

This hotel is easily the best I’ve stayed at in Nelson. I genuinely feel like I’m staying at a great friends house not a hotel. The front desk clerk was so so kind and welcoming. I feel fully equipped with cutlery, dishwear, coffee and tea. I feel well taken care of, especially due to the little things, ice cubes in the freezer, makeup removing wipes, full size shower products, and coffee creamer for my morning joe. I will be returning many many times (despite me living within 10 blocks of the property.)

I knew I booked a smaller room but didn’t realize exactly how small it is. Good thing we didn’t have large suitcases otherwise I wouldn’t know how to fit them into this room. In hindsight I should’ve booked a bigger room for better comfort. The room is sparkling clean and quiet. The front of the hotel has lots of stairs so it is better to unload luggage at the back which has just a few steps up and the back door is on the 2nd floor.
