Checkin took over 30 minutes and we weren’t even acknowledged. Waited to sort out a group of workers at did not book their room properly. Coffee machine in the room did not work - reported but no maintenance for 2 days in a 3 day stay - still did not work. On 3rd day, returning to hotel at night, keys were disabled. Systems issues were claimed. Room above was constantly noisy (footsteps, items dropped…) both at night and early morning. Too few towels and no housekeeping service. Generally outdated, terribly overpriced. Completely unhealthy breakfast - just came from a Super 8 in Alberta and breakfast was good. Cable TV provided absolutely no channels to watch. Definitely not a $200/night stay. Garbage!!! We have family in Castlegar but won’t be held hostage to this hotel on our next visit or ever!!! It was like they were trying to get away with the worst possible service until challenged on it! (And even then promises were not delivered) Guessing cheap owners!

The room was clean enough although the fridge under the cooktop needs to be cleaned. It wasn’t an issue because we didn’t use it. The beds were comfortable, especially the pillows. It was fairly quiet, except for the odd movement above us and in the hallway. The breakfast was okay, we were offered hard boiled eggs, baked goods ( bread, bagels, muffins ) waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice and milk. But it was good deal for the price. And the pool/ hot tub was nice, but there were no towels at the pool. You probably have to ask for them at the desk. The Front Desk clerk was pretty nice, she did make one minor error in our payment method. But it was a pretty good stay overall for one night.

We've stayed here as a riding group over several years, and keep returning here because it's a good clean hotel, good staff, and a pool, water slide and hot tub as a bonus. The DQ is 1/2 block and the restaurant is very good, pizza especially.

The room I stayed in was fairly gross. All around the room could use a renovation. The tiles in the bathroom were broken and loose under foot. The wall was visibly dirty in the bathroom. The shower curtain was all ripped up and wouldnt stay closed. The fan intake was filthy. Broken tiles in the shower. The smoke detector is missing from the room. The baseboards were kinda chipped up. Not very impressed with the stay. The only real positive note I can give is the staff was friendly and helpful. I travel for work and will not be staying at this super 8 again.

Was a great stay. The young lady at the front was always very pleasant and really made us feel welcomed. Room/suite was perfect for myself and my sister. It was like having 2 rooms for the price of one. Two full bathrooms was awesome.
