Great room, but get to breakfast early!
The room was great. It was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds. The only downfall was breakfast. We got to breakfast at approximately 9:15. It is posted to close at 9:30. However, there was hardly any food left and they were not replenishing anything. There were a lot of people wanting food. The employees were annoyed we were there and wanted to eat. We quickly grabbed what we could and sat down. Meanwhile, we watched several employees go into the food area and come out with full plates of food that they were no longer offering guests. We normally try to get to breakfast earlier, but had gotten in late the night before. We didn’t expect to be offered almost nothing when we should have still had 15 minutes to grab food. The next day, it seemed to be the same situation even though we were there at 8:45. Not quite as bad, but not great. The food offered was good, if it was made available. You just really got the feeling that they were mad you were there. Besides the breakfast, we would stay here again.

We are very happy with the hotel and staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only unpleasant problem we had was on 1/14 when they did not clean or tidy the room. We arrived at night and the room was all messy with no towels to shower. We called reception who immediately provided towels.

Hotel was very clean. Great safe, convenient location. Loved the extra large bathroom vanity and desk/shelf lining one wall for plenty of space to put out personal items. Room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was awesome. Only thing was pancake station was not working whole week.

Older hotel that has been updated. Some updates are of lower quality. The ADA room we reserved listed a walk in shower but only had a tub/shower with a seat provided. No hand rails at all by the toilet to help elderly lift themselves from toilet. Toilet paper mounted on back wall and very hard to reach. The room needs more thought put into it. The rest of the room was fine.

Highly recommend
We checked in about 530p on 10/2. I don’t remember the gal’s name but she was a gem and she gave us a great dinner recommendation (Water’s Edge restaurant). Our room was spacious, clean, nicely appointed with a comfortable bed and the bathroom shower was wonderful! Breakfast options were abundant and really good. We’ve been on the road for a week and a half and this property by far is our favorite.

The room was clean, plenty of parking, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast had a lot of options, especially good gluten free items. The pool was great--quiet and secluded with trees and shrubs, saltwater not chlorine (everything about the pool is a huge plus for us!). The location is very accessible (by car) to pretty much everything in Charleston, beaches, patriot's point, etc. Check out the nearby pier. Plenty of close food spots (we really enjoyed Melvin's BBQ). This will be our spot for all of our trips here.
