Room was small and smelled pretty bad like a dirty dog or stinky feet. Could definitely use a good clean. The area outside the hotel is a little shady with lots of characters walking around late night. But for the price its okay

This hotel has a terrible reputation for ‘inviting’ everyone & everything your daddy ran off with a shot gun😳 LOL. And being this is my hometown & I was only here due to needing to escape the devastation of my new hometown in western NC after Hurricane Helene (‘24), I was already well aware of this reputation. The comfort of the bed actually wasn’t terrible! We only saw one questionable person, but he was well mannered when speaking so IdK. However, let me brag on the staff. I can’t remember her name unfortunately, and don’t expect 5 star class y’all, this is WV, lol! She was the friendliest, most down to earth, go out of her way to help make your stay at this low budget hotel the absolute best it could be! She was EXEMPLARY! She was a mid-age, blondish, heavy set lady and honey I am terribly sorry I can’t remember your name but you deserve a promotion & a raise! Job well done love!!
