The Ryder is an adorable boutique hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and it's at a great location where you can walk to many bars and restaurants and shops.

The hotel was cute, great place for a bachelorette weekend. I like that the rooms did not have carpet. Nothing dates a room more than stained carpet. The Little Palm restaurant was good. They offer inside and outside setting and there are three bar areas, one of these is by the pool. Downside there was a dog in the hallway that would not stop barking. I tried calling room serve and could not get anyone.

Great place to stay. Fun vibes all throughout the property. The pool is a little small for how popular it is. We had a great time in the "backyard" which was a great size, great seating & great music. Only downside I had was going to breakfast in the morning. They asked if we had a reservation. We did not, I've never had to make a reservation for breakfast at a hotel I've ever stayed in. Since it is popular and on the smaller side i understand but we then had to venture out in the morning looking for breakfast options and had to hurry back to make check out time. I just think this should be noted to everyone when checking in.

I loved how friendly the staff was amd very understanding, only thing i didnt like was the floors in our room being very dirty but that wasnt such a big deal for us. We just wore shoes imstead of being barefoot. I loved the pool / food they had and coffee was over the top delicious!

The location of the Ryder is it exceptional. There is 24/7 front desk staff that are able to advise about dining, tours, beaches, shopping. Everything is walkable. This was the best of being in the city and also having relaxing pool vacation.

Overall I would give this hotel a 4/10. The only reason I would go back would be the convenience to downtown and the availability of a pool. Don’t let that fool you, the Little Palm restaurant food/cocktails were atrocious for the price that you pay on top of staying there. Want to sleep in and then have a nice relaxing day at the pool? Goodluck with limited poolside loungers. Don’t even get me started on the coffee bar downstairs. You’d think with paying $300 a night you’d have a coffee maker or AT LEAST a mini fridge in your room. Nope! Room service? Goodluck with that when the phone nor QR code work. Staff did come and clean the room every single day with fresh towels but an 8am knock on the door to ask if you need fresh towels? Not very demure of them. Overall, I’d rather stay at a Holiday Inn than deal with that.

I love this hotel and have stayed 3 times. The condition is getting increasingly more worn in but they redid the patio area which was nice. Carpet may need to be replaced soon and some of the furniture needs reupholstering in the common areas.

The Ryder hotel is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. From the welcoming front desk to super clean room with all amenities. The decor is exquisite!! The pool area and bar are so inviting and beautifully decorated. The restaurant is a 5-star, the chef's creations are delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel over all others when visiting Charleston.

Gorgeous, boutique-sized hotel right in the heart of the city. We loved the cafe, the staff, and the pool! Friendly & helpful staff made the stay even better than imagined! While the rooms weren’t super quiet(due to other guests always talking in the hallways), we found that putting on white noise on (from our phones) worked like a charm!
