Everyone was just perfect and friendly! We enjoeyed our tour of Room 311 with John. Short walk to great restaurants and loved the Billiard Room. Thanks to the whole staff for your hospitality and keeping the Read House beautiful!

Beautiful property, and the guest rooms are spacious with large bathrooms. Excellent service at check-in…friendly and helpful staff! Great burger and service at the bar, too. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Chattanooga!

Amazing hotel! Beautiful, old hotel with modern touches and amenities. Wonderful, friendly staff. Great bar and pool table area and while we didn’t use the pool, it looked awesome. Loved the historic items that have been left. The only thing I was mildly disappointed by were the bed sheets. They felt very worn and “pilly”. Bed overall was clean and comfortable, though. And towels were wonderful. Robes and slippers would be a nice touch as the bathroom was chilly. Would absolutely stay again!

It was only .7 miles walk to the aquarium and riverfront. The hotel is historic and welcoming. The renovation has made this iconic hotel absolutely stunning. Staff were great. Food and service were top notch.

All the staff members I encountered were helpful and friendly. Not sure if due to room being booked through third party or not but our room was at the very end of hall. Very loud in the hall at all hours. Tub was dirty and didn't drain well at all. The chair in the room was very hard and uncomfortable, we couldn't even sit in it and the cushion on the chair obviously didn't match it. The hotel itself-lobby area, sitting areas-was beautiful.

If you’re looking for a great hotel to stay in while visiting Chattanooga, the Read House is it. The room was perfect, bathroom 1st class, and ambiance was next level. Loved the overall 30’s-40’s feel. If there was a down side it was parking, but not down enough to impact the visit or rating.

This is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are great, the staff is great, the restaurants and bars are great, and the area is very convenient if you are staying for events around downtown Chattanooga.
