In the heart of the city. Easy to get to bars and shops with minimal walking. Parking was a few minutes walk away. Worst was in the night as there is a night club next door there were many people milled about outside.

The customer service was very good, the breakfast was excellent, the room however was not cleaned, there was evidence of the previous guest in the bathroom! The room was at the back of the hotel and the music from the nightclub was very loud until 4am, had the secondary glazing panel been available and not missing, this wouldn’t have been so much of an issue. The hotel is in an excellent location, just a shame a few issues let it down.

Quite disappointing, we booked an executive room which clearly wasn't, threadbare carpet and tired decor, so short staffed but the staff really did their best and were really pleasant, at one point one of the staff was trying to manage the breakfast room and reception at the same time, on speaking to staff they say this is a regular occurrence, a lot of waiting around

Central location

Pros: Location, helpful staff-particularly housekeeping.
Cons: Consistency. restaurant prices and identity-each visit seems to have a different focus. breakfast range.
Location: Close to transport, rail link and service buses. short walk to cinema/theatre. Great tea, cake and more at Beatons-by the cathedral, to the right.
Using public transport, this was an ideal location, near Marks and Spencer, bank etc. Room was lovely and warm, beds comfy. A few changes to previous visits; individual biscuit, no water initially-previously large filled bottles. nothing major, just little changes. Didn't eat in the hotel this time, based on past experiences the breakfast can be great and varied, to ok and limited choice, a shame that the hotel seems to be different each time, particularly re the restaurant. Overall, room rate was good for location and the new member of staff was particularly helpful-thanks.

Noisy

Pros: The room was fine, the staff were pleasant but I suspect that anyone only staying for one night is allocated a room affected by the noise from the club.
Cons: Noise until 4.30 from nearby club otherwise would have been fine.
Location: Chester is a lovely town with added interest from the canals, beautiful river and superb Cathedral.
