Communication with property owner was great. The apartment building is off a pretty busy street, and just a few blocks from the heart of Chinatown. (Great view of the Chicago skyline!) The listing states "new condo in the heart of Chicago Chinatown." This is absolutely NOT a new condo - maybe newly renovated unit inside a quite old building. The entrance to the building is not obvious. The inside of the apartment was cute. The pictures of the furnishings in the listing didn't match what was actually there. (Listing showed 2 futons in the living room, but there was just a sofa and 2 chairs.
Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are quite cozy. Good for 1 person. Really tight if you're doubling up. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. Pillows are very firm. Linens were nice and soft. Everything was clean.
Listing stated fully equipped and stocked kitchen. If you plan on cooking while staying here, be prepared to get creative. There was one tiny (maybe 8 inch) pan, and a few pots. 4 glasses in total - 3 tall, and 1 short. No wine glasses. (Although a bunch of small coffee mugs.) One small (no sharp) knife. No tongs. Keurig coffee maker, with several coffee pods. However, only 3 pods (total) of regular coffee. The rest were decaf. There were four of us for 4 nights.... No icemaker or ice trays in the freezer. Plan to bring a bag of ice.
All in all it was fine for our purposes.
