Nice for the price
The hostel was a good deal in a great neighborhood. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast offering was adequate, but nothing exceptional. It would be nice if coffee and tea was available later in the day, not just during breakfast. The rooms are clean and everything seems well maintained. It would be nice if there were benches or shelves in the shower areas to put your stuff on, who wants to put their stuff on the floor? A small trash can in the shower stalls would also be nice. The bunk beds are metal, and so hard to crawl in and out of, and those little bars are really hard on the feet. Ladders would be nice and don't take up a lot of room. And the upholstery throughout the lobby and dining area is pretty worn out. But having said all that I would stay here again if the price is right.

Will go back but…
It was a great spot and really well priced. My only problem with it was the mattresses were pretty dreadful. Felt like a mix between blow up and cheap springs. Woke up pretty stiff but other than that, it is a great spot to stay and it’s located conveniently close to a lot of really cool stuff.

Nice clean place. Planning on returning. Great if ur out of towner goin 2 Wrigley. Took the bus there, 10-15 mins. Great neighborhood can walk at all hrs. All kinds of food close by, walking distance

Great for a no frills stay
Located in a beautiful neighborhood and close to many forms of public transportation. I booked a solo studio and it was perfect for my little getaway. Clean facilities and friendly staff. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the property is. Will definitely stay again.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. Other guests were also friendly, I had a fairly small room but honestly I preferred it that way since I was out most of the time . I would recommend for bigger groups but still a good stay! Free breakfast in the morning too

This is a hostel, not a hotel, so my rating is based on that. Don't book this expecting a hotel experience. Hotel rooms were outrageously expensive for the days I was in Chicago, so finding this saved me so much money. I stayed in a private room with a private bathroom that was immaculately clean (if a bit run down) and served my purposes wonderfully. It's in a lovely residential neighbourhood within easy walking distance to the bus and a bit longer of a walk to the El. Lots of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Staff were always really nice and helpful. There are lots of communal areas, including a large kitchen. I didn't end up using it but it looked very clean. Would absolutely stay again.

Really loved the location. The room and staff were lovely. I also appreciated that the front door was not left unlocked 24/7 and you had to buzz in after hours (which was always quick). The complimentary breakfast was lacking, but there are plenty of food places within walking distance. We walked over to Colectivo Coffee and it was delicious. Overall a great stay in a great location and we would definitely stay here again!

Nice hostel. I had a private room. Comfortable bed & pillows. Good value for the price in Chicago. Great staff. Nice to have a basic breakfast included. It's a hostel, keep that in mind. Nothing fancy. Great neighborhood.
