They had to change my room since the entrance light was blinking. I was given another room which I later found out the shower drain is somehow clogged and barely drain water. The faucet is bad condition doesn’t show the direction of cold and warm water I turned it all the way to each direction and barely get moderate temp water but not warm. There is no individual air conditioner thermostat It was blowing cold air when outside temp was below 50 F. I asked front desk about it then they sent me a portable heater. This hotel needs a lot of works before Accepting guests. To me it looks very poor

I really enjoyed my stay at the Congress Hotel. The staff was friendly & accommodating & we were able to check in early. The room was clean & anything we needed during the stay was provided without hesitation. My only complaint is the parking, it’s almost impossible to find somewhere to park in the city & the parking next to the hotel charges $62 a night valet parking for overnight stay & $25 additional if you need to move the car out before the night. That is city wide though & not a negative thing towards the hotel. It is ever in the area again, I would love to stay here again.

Great hotel for a Grant park race. Just walk across the street and you’re there. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well appointed other than the small flat screen TV. Parking was easy to access and it was easy to catch a cab or Uber out front. Older hotel but decent and serviceable. Will definitely use again for future Chicago race events.

This is an older hotel but very clean and quiet. The only complaint i have is the inability to control temperature. I was a little dissappointed that the room furnishings did not match the uniqueness of thevroom pictures to small but overall it was excellant and i would stay againStaff were polite and helpful. Website needs updated as it stated vallet parking

Always stay at this hotel for races in the city. Was disappointed what when our room didn’t have heat that was properly working the resolution was to give us a heater and blankets. We paid $300 per night, and that was a little ridiculous. The manager did give us a new room and appreciated the customer service.

The Congress Plaza Hotel was great!! Super close to everything we needed, including public transportation. The only odd thing was how small the TV in the room was… and how cold the fridge was. My yogurt was frozen! I would definitely stay here again!
