My fiancé and I spent Valentines Day weekend there. I made the mistake of waiting till the last minute to make dinner reservations. Everything was booked and she was getting hangry. The hotel manager overheard us arguing and found a way to accommodate us at the hotel restaurant. The meal was great and he made it so we were well taken care of. Needless to say the customer service was on point and that manager really saved my ass!!

Was harassed by the night staff! Windows were broken rooms were cold even though the heating element was at 82° at all times. Customer service sucks and they try to charge your card once you leave the property and pay them and you’re an hour and a half away on a four hour trip. Colleen then hung up on me once I was on the phone with her because I was clearly frustrated

Birthday weekend getaway

Our family stayed three days for a birthday getaway. It was wonderful! We got a suite and two separate rooms for our adult children and their spouses and children. Throughout the hotel it was very elegant in all areas from doorman, lobby, spa, bar, restaurant and elevators. There were eight elevators so no waiting or being shoved in with multiple other people. Loved that! The rooms were beautifully laid out, clean and very well maintained. The suite room had a large dining area with bay windows for more views and bar gallery. To be noted, the suite did not have a refrigerator or microwave in the room. All of our rooms the views were amazing. At night the lake and lights were so magical looking. The hotel’s lobby was large and spacious, decorated in ski lodge style. It was during early February when we went, not an issue because so many places to visit, shop and eat were within walking distance of the hotel. Our family enjoyed the experience of walking and sightseeing like tourists! Picture opportunities everywhere. I would highly recommend and we look forward to going again.

We had a pleasant stay at the Fairmont in December. The hotel was clean, located in a great spot, and had the basic amenities we needed. There were some aspects of the room that showed their age (a light was missing in the bathroom and we could see into the ceiling) and the elevators were painfully slow for access to high floors, but for a quick weekend trip it was a good choice. Due to lack of refrigerators in rooms and noise levels we would probably not choose this location for a longer stay in the future.

Stayed here for New Year’s Eve, grew up going to Chicago with family living there and never had a chance to explore! The hotel was in the perfect location and was beautiful. Staff was great! Only con was the pillows being way too flat, but I usually always bring my own.

The hotel was very close to millennium Park. Near a lot of places to shop and eat. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will be staying here again when I visit Chicago in the future

Great hotel, very convenient. Restaurant was fantastic for dinner, and breakfast.
