Beautiful Rooms, very odd bar & restaurant
What an unusual place.. Stunning room, comfortable, large balcony. However Bar & Restaurant only accessed via a Bedroom Stairway, very oddly and awkwardly placed. Bar very quiet and often no staff behind the bar. Food is taken from the Bar kitchen, out into the hallway and then over to the restaurant. Very odd set-up. Adjacent Room (only 2 feet away) checked out early, so cleaners went straight in. Hoovering, phones ringing, general noise. I felt a bit annoyed as when you book a nights stay you hope for a nice relaxing lie in but that was impossible

I stayed here as a family of four for one night on our way from north back to London. The boiler in the room kept going off all night and the radiators made awful clanging noises. My children kept waking up. In the morning I complained as I left. The receptionist suggested I should have called to get moved - in the middle of the night with two young children?! Would not go to this hotel again, should have just stayed in a travel lodge.

The room was of excellent proportions, comfortable bed and warm. The only item missing was a fridge. The evening meal in the restaurant was well presented, but not to my taste, a bit too vegetarian particularly the starters. At breakfast time, whilst it was a good meal, the staff had difficulty in keeping up which meant there was often several items awaiting replenishment. A good stay.

Felt hotel did not live up to web page from which I made the booking, Having paid over £500 for our short stay did not expect the hotel to be overrun by coach parties, lots of noisy children. Room lacking bottles of water daily, a fridge, and bare minimum supply of tea coffee and milk each day. The restaurant menu limited and same items every day.As a result we ate out.
