The estate spans the beautiful regions of Umbria and Tuscany, with Latium just a stone’s throw away. Nestled on a charming mountain, it enjoys a prime location ideal for a variety of excursions, right in the heart of Italy. The property is only 18 km from the A1 motorway and 12 km from Chiusi, where you can catch a train to either Rome or Florence. The estate is set at an altitude of 450 to 650 meters above sea level, offering an enviable climate year-round, with pleasant winters and summers.

Once a hunting lodge, the estate stretches across 750 acres of stunning natural beauty, with forests, olive groves, lakes, and breathtaking views.

Le Foresterie is the first house you’ll encounter when arriving from Tuscany. A 3 km unpaved road leads from the village, followed by another 1.5 km from the entrance to Foresteria, offering access to the other entrance at 800 meters, which connects to another village. It’s the perfect spot for those seeking a “slow holiday,” where you can relax, daydream, listen to the sounds of the woods, and gaze at the stars at night.

The Foresteria complex consists of three homes that I rent out within the 740-acre estate of forests, olive groves, and fields. It's hard to capture the essence of the place in words, but it’s located between Rome and Florence, nestled in the heart of Umbria and Tuscany.

The apartment has its own entrance from the garden, leading into a spacious sitting room with a kitchen, sofa, two armchairs, a satellite TV, micro Hi-Fi, and a table that seats 14 people. French windows, with curtains, open to reveal views of the surrounding woods. The double bedroom also has French windows with double curtains. Three steps from the sitting room lead to a landing with the bathroom (featuring a brick shower) and the second bedroom, which is a twin room with one French bed and one full-size single bed.

Fro the hall a door connect the other apt: Foresteria 4. for 4/6 persons. If you’re traveling with friends or family, you can rent both apartments. The property is surrounded by a garden and features a Jacuzzi, bocce ball field, and a playground.

Near Foresteria, you'll find a heated Jacuzzi for 6 people, as well as a heated swimming pool, a playground, a bocce ball field, a ping pong table, and a soccer table. A 300-meter fitness trail winds through the forest for about a kilometer. At 800 meters, you’ll find fishing ponds.

The view from the property is nothing short of spectacular: From the top of Mount Pausillo, you can see everything from Perugia to Cortona, Assisi to Città della Pieve, Mount Cetona, Mount Amiata, and the Sibillini mountains, as well as the lakes of Chiusi, Trasimeno, and Pietrafitta. The towns of Chianciano and Montepulciano are also visible in the distance. It’s a sight you have to see to believe.

A garden area is furnished for outdoor dining, complete with sun loungers for sunbathing, deck chairs, a hammock, and a barbecue. Nearby, you’ll find the Jacuzzi and the heated pool, both perfect for relaxation.

Activities at Miralaghi:

Trekking: Enjoy wonderful hiking and mountain biking (available for rent in the village) along 20 km of scenic trails through unspoiled nature, teeming with wildlife. There’s a signposted mountain bike trail with breathtaking views of the countryside.
Fishing: Try your luck at our fishing pond (catch and release). You can catch perch, pike, carp, eels.
Picnic: Enjoy a peaceful picnic by the romantic lake or in the woods.
Fitness: Challenge yourself on the fitness trail in the woods (17 stages—perfect for kids), or take a leisurely walk.
Bird Watching: Observe the local birdlife from the two designated bird-watching points.
Play Park: Let your children enjoy the playground, or play bocce, ping pong, and soccer together.
Relax: If you’re tired, relax in the sun, play chess under the oak tree, or enjoy the beautiful sunset and endless views.
The estate is home to a variety of wildlife, including foxes, deer, hedgehogs, wild boars, hares, and squirrels. In late June and early July, you can witness the return of fireflies. The skies are often graced by the sight of hawks, while robins, jays, hoopoes, and green woodpeckers are regular visitors. Pheasants and hares are frequently released here.

Curtains are provided in all bedrooms, and all windows are equipped with mosquito nets, so you can sleep with the windows open in summer without worrying about insects.
Nights are cool, with a temperature difference of about 10 degrees between day and night. Foresteria 3 is equipped with air conditioning, though the constant breeze ensures a pleasant temperature at all times.
