Despite asking for a downstairs room when booking I found myself in an upstairs room with 15 stairs to climb. Having mobility issues this was a problem. When I indicated this was a problem, the gentleman receptionist suggested I was lucky to have a room at all as they were fully booked. The car parks spaces were so narrow, it was impossible to open the car door enough to get out. The place is old and rundown but it was clean.

While the property was in a prime spot with a stretch of dining options, the room we stayed at (room 6, as a fair warning to others) had a terrible issue that did not allow us to sleep at night. There was constant dripping of water in the shower, no matter how tightly I shut the taps. And the ceiling light made continuous sound even after being turned off. This was really annoying and turned a relaxing trip into a stressful one.
