Everything was fine, including cleanliness, the staff was very good and friendly, the internal telephone number to the reception was not displayed only emergency numbers were displayed, the dogs in the reception area were scaring, because the dogs were not settled any time they see visitors, the location of the hotel is very good and close to supermarket, and easy to get transport to city centre, and to the airport

Nice location but unhelpful staff
The man at the front desk was quite rude. He insisted I didn't have a booking even after I told him my name three times. It was only after I dug up the confirmation email that he suddenly found my booking. Apart from that, the hotel is in a nice location right next to the train and the forest. Although the pillow was uncomfortable and the hairdryer didn't work, and water from the shower sprayed everywhere. Great breakfast though!

Not Good.
The hotel was average but location was good. At first they said , they do not have any booking for me but later I showed him online and after verifying, he approved me to stay. I didn't get the breakfast on first day due their fault. Although they charged me for that. The building was old and I felt cold in night due to old windows.

The rooms were nice and we enjoyed the breakfast. The only part that made us mad was that they had a party one night with music so loud it would keep us up. We actually tried to go to the party but there was a cover charge that even the hotel guest had to pay for. It should have been free since we had to listen to it all night.

Unlikely to return.
Ideal for visiting the city as only a short walk to train terminus and train every 9 mins - 6 Euro return. But, two very large noisy dogs in reception area at times - would not have gone in had they been there when we arrived! Staff attitude varied between helpful and grumpy. large room but uncomfortable bed. TV did not work. Wonderful buffet breakfast on the first morning, next two mornings no buffet just a small selection (adequate) brought to our table. The restaurant not open in the evenings. Décor in need of refreshing and laminate flooring in bedroom had many gaps in the end joints.

This hotel was an average 3*. The reception was open despite our very late arrival and the clerk friendly and helpful. The room was clean but very dated and some what down at heel. Bed was comfortable once in it but hard edge a hindrance. Breakfast good. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Good wifi in the room.

No way...
Awful. Bad choice. Hookers in parking lot. Druggies in parking lot. Large dogs in lobby. Reception was ice cold...didn't matter that I was there or not.Wifi bad, room bad, service bad, breakfast was an afterthought as in take it or leave it. Floor in room felt as I would fall through at any moment. Furnishings looked like they were new durimg Helmut Kohl's administration. Nothing about this hotel was as presented on Hotels.com. Booked 5 nights, stayed one and left.

Pleasantly surprised
An old-fashioned hotel on the edge of some glorious woods, close to the Motorway, 2 mins walk to the tram-stop and only 20 minutes to the centre of town. At only £60 for the night we had a large spacious room with sitting area and two armchairs. The bathroom was perfectly adequate and even my fussy husband enthused how good the shower temperature and pressure were. My only gripe was that we had a waterbed… Next time I will request a room with a ‘normal’ bed. It was a last minute booking and I had not checked if breakfast was available or at an added cost. I think 'gobsmacked' just about covered it when we saw what must be the ultimate in breakfasts, at no extra charge, all set up in a room with a Baby Grand at one end. The usual choices in coffee and tea and also hot chocolate as well as the usual continental sliced meats, liver sausage and cheeses, 4 different types of cereal with chilled fresh milk, scrambled eggs, sausages, boiled eggs, DIY fried eggs (single hobs and small frying pans available) fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, oranges with a press, a choice of rolls, 2 different loaves with an electric slicer to cut your own and a toaster if desired, chocolate spread, honey and 4 different conserves fresh pats of butter and margarine. More expensive hotels could take a leaf out of their book. Absolutely sumptuous, everything you could want for a long lingering breakfast….if you have the time and in an atmosphere that makes you wish you could linger.

Pitstop on enroute to Ypres
The location was convenient being just off the motorway. The staff were friendly but the lady who greeted us in reception was smoking and it professed to be a non smoking hotel. The room was very cold and in very poor condition. Some electric sockets were hanging off the walls. There was a heater in the shower room but nowhere to plug it in. The laminate floor has holes in it and patches that were broken off. The sink had a large crack in it and the door to the room was difficult to close, tho others in the corridor looked worse. We may have been the only people there as we didnt see any other guests. Parking was free and under cover so that was good and the breakfast was a nice array of meats, cheese, fresh rolls, jam and a boiled egg with good coffee.

Interestingly weird hotel
This hotel looks nice on the website however, the reality is different. All through my stay, I never met anyone at the reception, waited for hours to check in. I eventually met someone whom I complained to and shocking he said that's my room key and walked off. You check in very late and expected to check out early with no exceptions. It's like a ghost hotel. There is no one to complain to, not even a manager on site. The phone rings all day with no one to answer it. I got a twin bed instead of a double bed and was forced to sleep on it as there is no one to complain to. On a positive note, the room was big, however there is no extractor in the toilet. A toilet should have an extractor or a window. the tables were dusty and the room had cub webs.

Worst Hotel
I stayed there for two days and it was absolutely horrible. The hotel was very smelly and the staff were awful, when I complained about the smell they said it's Germany not England!! What a total none sense. I don't know what's the point of having two dogs in the reception.

A place like this should not charge for WiFi. It's in the middle of nowhere. There is a PC in the reception area that its supposed to be for guest to use but it doesn't even turn on. (Yes, I tried turning it on)

Not for everyone that's for sure.
When we arrived at this hotel we were wishing we could just leave. We had to use a phone at reception to get service and when they came it was a cleaning person who then went and got someone else. The hotel had no elevator so we didn't think we could stay as all rooms were upstairs. We were offered a room which went off of a laneway which was a nice size, clean, and okay. We decided to stay in the room they offered. This hotel is definitely not a non-smoking hotel. One evening when we were having dinner four people, staff, were smoking in the dining room. Prior to this they had gone outside to smoke but for some reason chose not to this time. Although I love animals, they had a huge dog that kept coming to our table when we were eating, it slobbered, and was somewhat pesty. At one point it got excited when someone was fussing over it and peed on the floor, also while we were eating. It was an ackward experience to say the least. I would not recommend this hotel to most people I know. Some staff were very friendly but others were not so much.
